Hi Everyone Well did you get through the day eating well?  I won't think bad of you if you didn't get to the gym.  It's a holiday for gosh sakes.  But now we need to get back on track especially if you ate stuff you didn't mean to  I know, that hot dog just jumped on your plate I hit the gym today, doing my own routine for abs.  Leg lift on the chair, straight and v ab crunches on incline with medicine ball side crunches with weights all of these again on the exercise ball crunches and planks Whew, I hurt.....  In a good way!! So my friends, Did You Move To Lose and or Maintain Today?  Come on and lets get back on track. Hey the summer is half over!!!! Take care, Kathy

Hi Kathy & everyone, Due to various cir****tances, my dh & I didn't do a darned thing over the holiday--talk about big duds!!  However, I didn't have to face any big ol' picnics w/ mountains of food!  We did have some good grilled meat the past couple evenings and some delicious corn on the cob with every meal!  I know the corn is starchy, but . . . I get it really fresh from a vendor right outside of town . . . and it is SO sweet and tender!!  So that's just a splurge I'm willing to make! Yest. we had a lot of rain throughout the whole day, but in the afternoon, it was pleasant and breezy for awhile, so I went for a bike ride by myself.  Rode at a medium to fast clip for almost an hr. and was sweatin' like crazy by the time I got home! Today--not sure why I've felt more sluggish than usual.  I did mow the lawn (push), which takes me about 45 min.  Right now I'm going out to take a walk--really only planning on about 30 min.   Isn't it fun to have a weekend right around the bend, right after a holiday?!

Always,
Jo

Hi, yes I got in my exercise today. 2.5 mph - 3 mph at 0.3 - 0.7 incline  for 30 minutes. My grown son walked in while I was doing my routine and commented that I was flying! He usually sees me gimping around from my bum knees and was surprised. I told him the exercise made me feel better, it has to be the endorphins released during exercise. Sher

I got to move it move it, I got to move it move. it ...and i did. To the tune of 30 minutes on the eliptical minus 300 calories, 1/2 mile walk at 7.5 incline and 3 mph, bye bye 100 calories and weight training. Dread going to the gym, but love it afterwards.
Peace and Blessings, Melinda

Good job on your exercise and ab work..... 20 minute workout with resistant bands - this is a video workout that is on "sparkpeople".  There are lots of exercise workouts on sparkpeople that are just wonderful - full description, video of how to do the exercise, and full 15-20-30 minute workouts....I love it especially when I am stuck in the house for the day...(work at home - transcription)..... Thanks- D
