Hi I posted a few days ago, I was still wondering.......

If anyone has taken diet pills to get back on track,  I only want to take them for a few months to get back on track with exercising and schrinking my stomach.  Has anyone heard about these new diet pills called Alli, they sell them at Wal-Mart and had an article about them in the last People addition.  I have my appointment with a diet doctor on July 10th and he prescribes Adipex.  I only want this to get me back on track, has anyone heard anything about these diet pills or had an experience. Hi Jenn,  I work at a local vitamin store and we have just gotten this product in. I was told that Alli depletes a lot of vitamins from your system. It causes malabsorbtion of a lot nutrients, for normal people, can you imagine what it would do to us?   Personally, I would NOT take it. I have enough trouble getting in all my vitamins and supplements, without taking a product that would keep me in the bathroom all day! Way too much malabsorbtion and trips to the potty for me!  Just my 2 cents worth!

Hi Jenn, I too have heard terrible things about Alli.  Alli is the generic brand of Zenecal ( I think I spelled it correctly).  I have heard that it causes frequent gas and frequent trips to the restroom to defecate.  I also heard that sometimes they are so frequent and urgent that you would have to catch them in time or you will have accidents!  I agree with Lyn  I wouldnt take it nor would I take diet pills.  Ive heard when "we" take diet pills it causes a  yo-yo effect in our metabolism and when "we" get off of them we gain MORE weight.   I too am desperate, having gained 30lbs, however I know that when I tried these miracle pills and cures prior to surgery they didn’t work.  Ive decided to get back to basics and follow the Rules of the Pouch.  Good Luck.
