Hi Everyone, Well you are using the excuse the 4th of July is in the middle of the week and celebrated this weekend and plan on doing so Weds. also?  All the more reason to move, walk, and do anything to stay ahead of those extra cals.... I hit the gym today, doing my Barbell Strength class and 3 miles on the treadmill.  3.0 speed at a 7.0 incline....I got a new heart rate monitor and it's really an eye opener and helps with staying in the 75% - 85% of my heart rate range.  When I think I am, I check and nope not close If you don't have one I suggest getting one.  Wal-Mart have them and you don't have to pay an arm and leg. So my friends, Did You Move To Lose and or Maintain Today?  Come on and let's get going, start the week off feeling good and knowing we are going to finish strong.  Stay Strong, Sexy and Sassy!!! Take care, Kathy

Hi Kathy, Had a lazy wkend--over at my sister's in Indy--too much to eat & drink--but on one of the evenings, we did take a good power walk for about an hr.  She lives in a beautiful area, and it was fun for me to see some different scenery.  It was a pleasant evening, but we got to sweatin'!! This morning, it was back to the gym for my step aerobic class--60 min.--it is a good workout--followed by 25 min. of upper body weights workout.   Been battling (mostly successfully) the bad carb monsters today--always hard after an indulgent wkend.

Always,
Jo

Hi Jo, Good for you!!!!  You had some good food but still took a walk.  Don't guilty yourself to much!  You are so right about the comment on the carbs.  I find if I don't eat "any" then I am ok.  As soon as I start to eat some, even a little bite then I want more and more.  They are soooo bad!!! Enjoy the evening!!! Take care, Kathy

Hi, got in 30 minutes on my tredmill @  2.5 - 3 mph at 5.0-6.0 incline . It amazes me how reluctant I am to start but after about 10 minutes walking I am really getting into it and want to continue to meet my goal. Also before I started doing any type of exercise I never believed that you would actually feel better and more energized after exercising. Sher

Hope every one is moving to lose.  I will take a few days off after crashing my bike last Friday.  I know own a bike helmet.  i am so thankfull I did not Hurt my knees, or worse yet break my hip.  I have purple toes and black and blue side. but i will be back to working out soon.  As a weight lose graduate, I KNOW  what has to be done to lose and keep it off.  Sheila
