each doc does his own thing. however, 30cc is common starter pouch (1 oz), my docs do half that. after a year, it should be about the same size, relaxed, but can probably accomodate 4 oz

stomas start out 10-15mm or the sized of a dime or nickel. unless it shrinks (stenosis/stricture) or relaxes (pucker goes out of it), it will remain smaller than a quarter for life.
