It is a second WLS generally to repair a WLS surgery that has failed for one reason or another.  I had VBG done about 15 years ago and found out this Jan that the staple line had failed and my pouch was open to my stomach (which basically negated the orginal surgery).  I had more than doubled my pre-op weight in that 15 years, and had a revision to RNY in Mar this year.  Revisions can be any surgery converting to another surgery or, surgery repairing the same surgery.
