Hi Kathy, I've been bad for the past 4 days until today, I got my workout in. Finished my mile in 23 min and 30 seconds. It is even getting a little easier going at a faster pace than I was before. The interval changes I have been putting into my work out have really helped me.
I only wi**** was cooler. My tredmil is in the kitchen and I don't have air conditioning in there, I hate to sweat.
Sher

Hi Kathy,
I also did not make it to the gym today, but I went to my 2nd yoga class this morning, and this evening I went bike riding for about 1 1/2 hrs. with a couple friends. We by no means do "race biking," but we got in some good pedaling!!
I am trying not to feel guilty about not going to the gym all the time, but instead to concentrate on just getting in some purposeful activity each day. Like many of us, I get stuck in "all or nothing" thinking, and often feel like a failure if I don't get in a daily cardio & weight session at the gym. However, I am not dreading my exercise time so much now that I'm doing a step aerobic class twice a week, yoga once a week, 1-2 bike riding evenings, and 1-2 nice long outdoor walks per week. I then fill in with a few cardio sessions and weight training sessions at the gym each week. I was getting so sick of the "same old, same old" at the gym, and I like the variety better. I may not always get in the same benefits as a good, solid, intense hour at the gym, but I'm hoping this approach helps keep me more motivated than I was recently!
Always,
Jo
