Accountability - What did you eat, Monday 6/25?

Happy Tuesday Well, my Monday was crazy at work, I even checked the calendar to see if a full moon was on the immediate horizon, not until Saturday, so my clients must all be trying to beat the rush ... I had a long list of food for Monday, cals are up there again today, at the upper end of my normal daily intake, this is working out OK though, as is funny, I know I tell this to others frequently but sometimes eating more actually stimulates the body into thinking it is not starving and gives you a jumpstart on losing - my scales are moving down again, SLOWLY, but down, so I'm going to try to stay at this end...My original thinking was I needed to be at the lower end of my range cause I'm not getting any real exercise since surgery, guess this is not the case, I'll work with it as it comes and adjust accordingly - that's what its all about, right? B - 10 oz white chocolate/strawberry Protein on the Go S - 1/2 oz cashews       1 mini butterfinger crisp L - 1 cup chili       1/2 cup caesar salad       2 sf nougats S - 2 tea crackers       2 nsa peanutbutter and jelly cookies ( UMMMM!) D - 1/2 an open face chicken parmasen on foccicia       6 potato chips S - 4 sips of DH's beer ( went to a going away party for one of DH co-workers @ the local irish pub)       1 hot wingette       3 small bites of chocolate mousse cheesecake     S - 1 sf nougat ( a little snack to help me sleep ) PLUS - 55 oz water/crystal light & 10 oz hot tea with protein creamer TOTALS  =     Cals - 1484     Fat - 74     Carbs - 105     Protein - 98 Still need to work on keep the water levels up to help with those little issues...Alesia

Hi Linda, Welcome to the accountability post, hope to see you back again regularly...You had a GREAT day, very evenly distributed meals/snacks with good protein in each one, keep it up like this and you will always be on track ... BTW what is diet quiche?  Is that made with lf/ff cheese, crustless, and only using the egg whites?  Do you make it yourself?  How about posting a recipe, I love quiche of all kinds... Hi Alesia!!  My calories were up again but I think I was still beating myself up for this weekend and the Pure Protein bars are TOO good.  I guess some things just can't be in my house.  I should just accept that!!!  Your day looked great and I'm like you - love quiche and that diet pumpkin pie sounds good too! 2 cups coffee with fat free creamer B-1/2 ham, egg, and cheese sandwich, 1/2 pure protein bar S-Pure Protein Bar peanut butter and chocolate L-3 oz. chicken breast, 1/2 c. green beans, 1/2 c. fresh strawberries S-Pure Protein Bar chocolate chip D-1/4 c. ff chicken gravy, 1 slice wheat bread, 3 oz. chicken, 1 c. squash S-1/2 c. watermelon Totals:  calories - 1379     fat - 47     carbs - 102     protein - 144

Hi Denise, GOOD DAY!   I have the same problem when I make protein balls, they taste just like no-bake cookies, so when I'm having a urge for sweets and I have them in the house I always reach for one - I don't consider this a really bad thing, cause it is a great protein source, but the do pack a wallop on the cals so they can add quite a bit to my daily totals...Still I like them and still make them, just know in advance the consequences... I have noticed that too.. since I increased my calories I have lost 4 pounds.. that is more than I lost in 3 months before this.. so I am happy.. today is a crazy day for me at work.. trying to tie up loose ends before I go off on vacation and had a brunch at the place I had to participate in..lol... but its all good.. i will get it done..

Yesterday I did much better at staying on track.. at least til dinner but that wasnt to bad either.

B-protein shake

S- protien bar

L- almost chicken thing at Millies.. 3 oz chicken with low fat cheese and veggies..

S- protein balls

D- went to a buffet for dinner with the family... i had 3 oz of roast beef. 3 bites of a bake potato and 3 bites of a salad.

S- ice cream

Totals

Calories 1224... fat 54.. carbs 65 protein 135

drank about 80 oz of crystal light.

Hi Carla, Fantastic - you had a really great day and you conquered the buffet, no mean feat ... I'm so glad you are on the losing side, its weird how eating a bit more can actually work in your favor...We get so used to saying to ourselves eat less, eat less, that when we eat more, its a shock that we are not getting struck by lightening for breaking the rules...
