Okay so am I doing okay? 16 months out...
You know I am 16 months out and was wondering if some of you longer term people can tell me If I am doing okay. I am losing about three to five pds a month. Is that okay for this far out. I still have forty pds to lose and feel as if I am never going to get to goal....

Wow ! Congratulations I wish I was still losing.....I have been sitting at my weight for about a month now. I know it's because I'm not getting in the protein I should be getting.
Keep up the good work....

It sounds like you're doing great to me! I slowed way down at around the 1year mark, but only had 14lbs to lose at that point. Just keep doing all the good things that you're doing and you'll be to goal in no time! Congratulations on all of your success!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow can I relate RieRie!!!
I have 37-38 pounds (depends on which day it is) to get to my MD's goal and feel as if I'll never get there. I have to be VERY diligent - exercise 5-7x/week and track all calories making sure I don't go overboard to lose 3-5 pounds a month now!!!!!
You are not alone sister!!! But hang in there - your post made me feel as if I'm not alone. Sometimes I feel as if I am - I always compare myself to others even though I know I shouldn't.
We can do it.

The agnony of how everyone is different is enough to make me insane some days!!
If it is any consolation, I stopped losing steadily at 11 months. Since Nov 2006 to June 2007, (RNY 12/2005) I have lost three pounds total!!!
I have lost more inches but the scale is constant. I am grateful it isn't climbing. What I keep reading is mix it up. So I am exercising differently, more protein, (more of it in pure supplements for better absorption) and actually MORE food eaten too. I want to lose another fifteen pounds. (Big guess on my part as I have never been a normal sized adult). At 150, I would have a normal BMI. My *GOAL*
Keep doing the right things.........it works, in its own time!

Congratulations! You are doing just great. I am sure you will get to your goal, just continue doing what you are doing, it is working.
