Hi All, I am elated to see all of your success on the TO program. Congrats!! It is not for me as I REALLY get hungry when I do not eat enough solid food. I really cracked down on myself this past Monday. Treadmill walking EVERY day except today. I have terrible knees and my orthopedic surgeon made me promise to take a day off so I did not walk today. I will walk again tomorrow so that will be 6 days this week. SMART food choices. Lots of water, at least 80-100 ozs a day. 5 days and I have lost 4 lbs!! Only 4lbs but a great place to start and MOST important, I feel great!! I think we are all different and we each have to do what is best and what works for us. No right or wrong, just taking care of ourselves. I have learned so much in the almost 8 years since my surgery and continue to learn. Most of all, even though I want to get some weight off now, I am NOWHERE near my high weight of 374, my labs are great and I am healthy, just heavier then I want to be. I got complacent. Period. I would like to lose about 50 lbs and I will take that any day over needing to lose150, sooooo, even after all this time my pouch still does its job as long as I do mine. Blessings and good luck to all of us working on the same issues!

Hi Donna, nice post!!  Kudos to you for your walking! Man, it is hard when you hurt, isn't it??? My hip is bad and I have lupus and arthritis. I "use" that as a reason not to exercise when in reality it would help my symptoms as long as I don't over do it. I did go up and down a ladder for four hours this afternoon though (priming my dining room with 11 foot ceilings) I can definately feel it in the back of my legs and hips this evening so I think I got a workout. I've been doing Leslie S. tapes and the two mile tape with weights has really shaped up my backend. LOTS of squats, etc and upper body work too. I've always been afraid to do squats but I FINALLY figured out how do to them correctly. I just wasn't throwing my back end out far enough. She says to just over exaggerate the motion of sitting down in a chair. It works! No more knee pain! And the inner thigh work has helped too. I have terrible saggy legs. That's where I carried most of my weight was hips and legs....so now they sag badly.  Anyway, thanks for the nice post!

Good for you Don't say only 4 lbs, 4 lbs in 5 days is great. It shows that following the basics and getting in our exercise works. You can get back down to where you want to be in time just keep up what you are doing. All the best Sher
