PRETTY IMPORTANT TIP!
Hi everybody!
Well, today was day four for me and I've been sticking pretty closely to the TO plan.
Weight loss has been steady (5 lbs)
I wanted to post to everyone about what I just did....
I've had all my protein, water, etc. for the day.
Hubby made blueberry scones...
Yeah, you guessed it....I ate one. (with no guilt I might add)
Well, it feels like I'm one month out of surgery!!!!!!!!!!
I'm very nauseated and feel like the scone is just a rock in my stomach.
I'm amazed at how fast this resetting works.
So, I will probably feel ill for awhile now.
I just wanted to mention to anyone doing the TO that it only took four days for me to have the IKKIES when I eat starch.
Amazing and believe me, this feeling will make me think twice before putting breads/starches in my mouth. Whewww.....

I had the same effect after doing a modified version of the Time Out. I was full on less food and when I did eat something with sugar, which normally wouldn't have bothered me, I felt sick and my heart was racing. I have since then eaten a little sugar and pushed the limit back out to where I am no longer dumping again unfortunately, but it's nice to know that we have another tool (the time out) that resets our pouch. Good luck and I hope you learned your lesson! lol I need to learn mine.

Hi, my heart was racing too! It scared me....so that is a dumping symptom? I sure felt sick. Still feel a bit yucky this morning too. and yes, I learned my lesson......but as you know, our memories can be a bit short-term when it comes to sugar!!!! lol.....Thanks Angela, it is nice that we have this reset option......
Hi!!! Morning!!! Yeah, I'm a dork for trying to eat that scone...I was up and down on a ladder the entire afternoon painting and "justified" eating it. I amaze myself sometimes....
NOOOOO I didn't walk. Dangnabit! I will today.
Good job on your walk! Did you end up going alone??? I'll pretend we're walking together when I walk today......just weighed myself on Day 5....no loss....
I love these smilies....I cracked up when I saw the laughing one after your juicy steak comment!
So, let me know how you do today and I will do the same....I had a protein drink at 3:00 a.m. when I woke up in the middle of the night....NOOOOO junk though! Yeahhh
Good day to you, I have been doing ok, I need to get some fiber. We are going to the movies today and I just said to my hubby i want popcorn, he actualy told me no i dont.... so I guess this time he's on my side helping me stay accountable.. luckily my boys dont like popcorn si i should be ok. I lost 1/2 lb, but think if i got some fiber it would be less, i am so craving a steak, cant you tell. I just ate some chicken (white meat baked) and it is good, i feel as if i am cheating but having hard time with just the shakes so a little meat protein 1 time a day should be ok..
i will walk tonight when we get back, you try to do the same and that way we are in the same spirit.
I got 2 compliments today at church asking if i am losing weight.. thought it was funny as i have only lost 8.5 lbs (3.5 on this t/o and 5 since 2 weeks ago after DR said no REVISION surgery needed for me)
Chat with you soon.. Watch you get up tommorrow and lose 2-4lbs since today it was nothing, bet your body is holding on to that scone carb, knowing your going to deprive it again... Our bodies are sooooo amazing to me, it is hard to trick them.. cheers to our next protein drink!!
Greetings from one weary painter here!!! It's close to 4 p.m and today has been great thus far! I've had two protein drinks and am getting ready for my third. I have to admit I was a bit dizzy working on painting today....(sigh) but am feeling better now. I ate three bites of salmon and a piece of swiss cheese and feel GRrRRReat now! Sure wish I could eat chicken but I just can't digest it...
Boy that's great that you've lost that much!
Yeah, I hear you on the fiber issue. I was worried yesterday but today I was regular so I felt much better. I swear that scone was out to do me in!!! I did have heart palpatiations. The scone made my sugar drop, then I had to have two glucose tabs to get my sugar up to normal...which gave me the racing heart! So, it appears I have reset my system to scream if I eat sugar. My doc was one that didn't allow any carbs for six months after surgery. I had a realll heard time implementing them and didn't really eat any to speak of until about the 10 mo. mark. (which is why I went underweight). I didn't have ANY for at least the first seven months and I'll tell you what, I'm so sensitive to sugar now (since the surgery). Never was diabetic but now have hypoglycemia. SO....live and learn. Hope you had a good time at the movies. My girlfriends and I are going to go see Evening when it comes out next weekend. Total chick flick but it looks really good. Time for my protein and I need to rest my weary hands!!! Three hours and I have to roll the second top coat on! I've been a ball of energy all day!
