I'm grateful for "the bandwagon"
There was a previous post expressing annoyance with those that jump on a "bandwagon" in this forum.
I believe that we all realize, by our very nature and shared problems with weight control and food addiction, that for some of us we will not always be successful.
However, I do feel the need to express that the perception of "bandwagon" could also be perceived as "support".
There are no support meetings for me, I've been through years of therapy.... I need support and kindred spirits to bring me back to reality. The reality that I have an addiction and need to reign it in...it is nice to have a bandwagon, a group of kindred spirits.
I also note in looking at the previous posts that in all total there may be six of us using the TO method. Several others express that weigh****chers is working for them, and yet others express different methods they are using. My understanding is that this board is to share ideas and get support when you reach out for it. It is not a place to convert others to one way of thinking and denounce attempts they are making by invalidating them.
I also don't believe it is calous or mean to express success with what works.
I also believe that we have all failed a million times over....if someone is despondent and depressed reading of those of us that have success they need only remember that at one point and time, and probably in the future, we will have troubles...it's a journey.
In addition I believe that I chose this surgery so that I would have a TOOL in my weight loss maintenance. My doctor was in agreement that you can "reset" this tool by the TO program and modify it as necessary. I am not going to ingore the fact that I have been blessed with this pouch and I am going to use it to the tenth degree. I am not like "the normal" person and I never will be. I am being realistic about my food issues and how lucky I am to have this group of people to share my journey with.
Hope all have a great weekend and I'll be back on Monday to check in with my TO Buddies!
Well said. hey how are you doing today with t/o? I gave in a while ago and had 2 crackers with p.butter, and i feel sooo full and sick to my tummy, but before this i could have had 15 or so. so i know it is working. hope scale goes down though I dont know if you read my day 3 posting, but not good think it's H20.. Have a great weekend and be successful... Great job on your 4lb loss Way to go...
I've had a great day! More energy than usual...I did have a hamburger w/cheese and noon but have not had any "empty carbs" for three days...I forgot/ and got use to.....how sick they make me feel! i believe that the sugar actually makes my lupus/arthritis flair ups worse...so, I'm thrilled and happy and relieved. It's nice to be proactive again. My doc agreed it was fine for me to do...actually, TWO doctors agreed. I called them both. So, it's all good here!!!!
How are you tonight???? Yes, I haven't had any brooth...I'm PMDDing right now so I always stay away from salt anyway. Let me know how you're feeling, okay?
I am now doing great just had my 3rd pure protein drink, i ordered the nectar in caribean cooler so we will see how that is when it gets here, what does the fuzzy navel taste like??
I got off my butt and walked on my treadmill, did jumping jacks, stretched, and then put on my flip flops and went out shopping, went and got more shakes as i only had enough for sat. so now i am good to go for 1 more week, and to the mall to look for some makeup, I LOVE makeup... so i now feel great, took a nap earlier, as it was hot, but now i have lots of energy to bad it's 9:30 pm here in CA.. take care and keep posting on your loss and i will do the same,
Well..if this is the BAND wagon, put me on the drums..lol...I truly felt the TO was more "intense" than what I COULD or WOULD honestly follow, but I HAVE successfully completed TWO days of plateau buster/detox, and I'm very proud of that. I never would have gotten started without this bandwagon--so--rock on!!!

DRUMS IT IS!!! Hummmm, I think I'd like the tambourine! Oh, and hotwheel queen, the fuzzy navel is good, tastes like orange ice cream, I just couldn't digest it. Only think I can do is Real Meals....believe me, I've tried everything! But, the Nectar line does taste very good! My son drinks what I can't....so at least I didn't blow big bucks!
