Thanks so much Patty ... Can the Nectar nbe purchased at GNC or any place like that ?  I so want to try this and hope I can find them locally ...  Shirley

Shirley, GNC doesn't carry them but Vitamin Shoppe does.  There are a bunch of online sources as well.  I have ordered from an online site called Building Brawn - they have good prices and very reasonable shipping.  I ordered the Cappucino from them because the Vitamin Shoppes in Dallas weren't stocking it and I wanted to try it.  I got it for a couple of dollars less than Vitamin Shoppe, even adding in the shipping.  Only downside was that it took a few days to get it. Hi, Shirley; I have had great luck with the site www.bariatriceating.com    They carry a lot of the Syntrax,as well as other products, and you can get sample sizes to try the various flavors.  I recently ordered the Lemon Iced Tea and the Cappuchino, both of which are water-based, and I really like them.  I'd used the Fuzzy Navel (Orange Julius flavor) pre-surgery, but cannot abide it now that I'm post-op!  (Go figger!!!)   I like the Cappuchino because I can make it warm and feel like I'm having a cozy drink in the evening.  (Making warm Cappuchino:  use one scoop of Cappuchino, mis with 3 oz of cool water.  While stirring the cool liquid, pour a gentle stream of ho****er into the cup, stirring continually.  This will help keep the protein from clumping--eww! ) I find that the protein drinks help keep me from being hungry.  I'm a real carb addict, and putting carbs into my diet  just  has the effect of making me eat more and more.  I have tried using whole grains, but they seem to be just as bad as simple carbs.  I DO eat salads which help keep me "regular".  The increased protein powder intake has had the unfortunate effect of clogging up the plumbing, so the salads are vital. Okay,  I am officially on the gaining side of life now.  I had done the Time Out a month or so ago, and maintained.  I had my breast lift with implants which weigh 1 pound each, and now I weigh 152....so I have gained 5 official pounds....2 of them being implants, so I really need to get a grip. I find myself hungrier now that I have been in the past, and also found myself eating a few SF pieces of candy like the mentos everyday, and those have 5 calories each.  So, 10 a day is 50 extra calories. I did put down all my foods on the Sparkspeople page, and each day I am under 1000 calories, so I am wondering if I raise my calorie intake, will that get me losing again?  I am still dealing with my bile duct, so that can cause some intestinal problems.  But last time I lost a lot of weight with my bile duct, this time I am gaining.  I suppose the honey moon is over, now that August 24th will be my 2 year mark.  I am still a size 4/6, my clothes are not any tighter, but I just weigh everyday, and since 4 days in a row I have weighed over 149, I know 2 pounds are breast implants, I need to jump the ball.  I know because 3 lbs can turn into 5, 5lbs can turn into 10 and 10 lbs can turn to 20lbs just like that.   I tried today to do the protein shakes only, and I just couldn't.  I started shaking and was sick feeling, so I had to eat.  Today I had this: Breakfast:  protein shake mixed with 1/3 of a banana (banana flavored protein shake) Lunch I had some cheese, 2 saltines and some sandwhich meat, just tiny bits, not a lot Snack I had some fresh watermelon, about 3 pieces, 1/2 cup Dinner I had 3 bites of a salad, 4 bites of grilled steak and water, that was it After dinner I had 2 bites of fresh strawberries with some whipped cream (spray) 2 teeny bites of pound cake (strawberry shortcake)....which was bad, but maybe had a total of 30 calories of cake total, that is how small it was. So, I know I have eaten wrong with the fruit and 2 bites of pound cake, but I am trying. Before bed I will eat another protein shake, as when I up my protein I know I lose faster. I also need to take my viatmins, it occured to me that because I had been nauseated the past 2 days, I forgot to take them, so not taking my vitamins for 2 days can also have an effect. ANYWAY, I plan tomorrow to do only nectar and protein shakes with no fruit as I know there are carbs in fruit....even though it keeps me regular, can you say too regular with the watermelon?  Thanks, and please if you have insight to my diet, please let me know Love, Deb
