PROTEIN SHAKES
I just restarted shakes myself and I LOVE the Muscle Milk Light ready to drink shakes. I found them in 4 packs on sale locally and bought the light Chocolate Mint and they are SO good! I went back tonight to get more and they only had the chocolate left in the light variety so I bought five more. Cost wise I discovered I could get the RTD (ready to drink) for about the same as buying the powder and mixing it, and it's easy to just grab one out of the fridge and drink it on the way to work.
I also bought the chocolate coffee and root beer float in the regular Muscle Milk (not light) but they have more calories of course...but they are so big I can drink half at one time.
Anyway, those are my current faves. Other than that my stand-by is Nectar Fuzzy Navel, whipped in my magic bullet knock off blender with a couple ice cubes and water or water and an Emergen-C packet.
Hope you find ones you like. Good luck on the time out!

My surgeon started me on time out and he recommends ONLY Nectar or Essence both made by Syntrax. They have 90 calories per serving and no sugar. He specifically told me to stay away from Muscle Milk - it has a ton of calories. He uses Muscle Milk (even the light) for new post-ops who have trouble getting calories in because of severely restricted capacity.

Any of these are what I use:
1.) Champion ProScore 100 choco + 8 oz water + ice, blended (hand blender or Magic Bullet).
2.) Champion Pure Whey Stack choco + 6-8 oz water, shaken.
3.) IDS vanilla-cinnamon + "glop" of DaVinci sugar free caramel sauce + 8 oz water + ice, blended.
4.) the PWS chco + the van-cin (50/50) in about 10 oz ho****er, stirred or hand blender.
Lately I've been adding a shake of cinnamon to my hot ones since cinnamon fights belly fat.
I always put 1 scoop of UpCal D powder in (500mg calcium citrate, 250 IU of vit D3).
