Woman at work pinched my excess skin!
I'd say it came from jealousy and envy on her part. You've lost 200+lbs and she's still overweight so to try to make herself feel better she wanted to try to point out a "flaw" on you. That's part of my motivation not to gain weight back~b/c I know alot of so called friends that would be all too happy to take note that I've gained 10lbs and I don't look as "good" as I used too. Weird how envious people can take such pleasure in someone else's supposed flaws. Next time she does/says something like that you could just say "YES, I have lost ALOT of weight and it feels great! I have so much more energy, cute clothes and head turns than I've had in a long time! Life is wonderful!" Kill em' with kindness as they say~and maybe a bit of sarcasm too, LOL!!!!!

One other idea is to get a few of your surgeons cards and hand her one with a comment like she could be here too and how wonderful the surgeon/experience was. That comes across positive but puts the ball squarely in her court! You can also make your own cards on this website that say whatever you like. Try making some with your surgeon's informatoin - they are easy to print on those preformed cards that make ten business cards. It is alot of fun! And it really lowers the ratio of comments. Also one I've used is that my BMI is in the normal range, where is yours?

I REALLY like Diona's idea!! I actually might have to make myself some cards. Most of my friends (that hung with me) have always been supportive of my loss. I did have one friend that I parted company with though.....(she was there type that is "Hi, I'm the pretty girl in the bar and here is my fat friend Laurie" ) It was painful but I got through the split. I actually just met up with three friends the other night over coffee and was so thankful that they love me for ME! I'm bless in the friends department......but LOVE the idea of the cards!
Wow...I have been so busy lately that I have been lurking, but your post prompted a verbal "WHAT?" I just had to write and say that I am sorry and that is unbelievably unacceptable!!!!
Say what you've got to say to this woman. I know it's hard when you have been used to hiding behind your weight and pretending to be meek. But you have worked darn hard for what you have...skin and all...and she has no right to touch you...opinion or not.

I am so sorry to hear this. I had a similar experience a few weeks ago. I ran into one of my relatives at lunchtime. When she realized it was me (she initially didn't), she said I needed to work on my upper arms (I have some loose skin and was wearing a sleeveless top that day). I never expected to hear this kind of feedback from her (she is 3 years post-op and I have not had surgery). Bravo to you for taking the high road! This is hard, plain and simple!
