Woman at work pinched my excess skin!

Hello, I am a little hurt but mostly angry. An overweight woman at work actually poined out and pinched my excess arm skin and said "you certainly did lose a lot of weight didn't you?" It took all of my patience and restraint not to respond in a negative manner but maybe I should have! I worked hard to unload 200 plus pounds and my flab is my flab! Just had to vent. Thanks in advance!

You need to pull a Clint Eastwood on her.

"You ever think about touching me again you better ask yourself do you feel lucky"

Make sure you squint one eye and talk real clear.

No sugar coating here.  I don't understand.  She acknowledged your weight loss? Did she say you did not work hard at your loss?  Why would you have to restrain yourself, or want to reply in a negative manner?  It was easy for you to point out that she is overweight, so apparently you two have no boundaries.

She's a lucky woman.  If she had "reached out and touched" me, she'd still be trying to figure out how she ended up on the floor.  I don't care if her intentions were good or not, personal space is personal space.  Keep your hands to yourself!!!!

Wow, you are a little venemous VI. I didn't point out her physical flaws in public like she did to me. I am sorry that you don't get why I would be bothered by her comments. Have a great evening.

Hardly venemous just telling the truth.  People should stop being so offended by others and work on themselves.  The forums are for discussion and exchanges as well as support.  if I don't feel it is worth a "Poor thing" I'm not going to put it out there.  The only venoum here is that you are upset that I was truthful.

Wow!  That is really over stepping boundaries!   I don't mind talking about my surgery or even my excess skin, but I do not want to be touched.  I don't even like my fiance to touch my stomach in the really flabby area.

Thank you everyone for your supportive comments! Lauren, I have to tell you that you are an inspiration for me! You have look wonderful. Was it difficult to tell your fiancee about your surgery or did he know from the beginning?

I believe most would be offended. Not only was she touching you in an inappropriate manner but a person could easily gleen the fact that she was pointing out that...although you were successful in your weight loss, you now had to contend with excess skin. I believe it's actually quite calous and yes, I would have been hurt and angry also! I freely discussed my situation with the gals at work, including my breast augmentation but even then they were always very delicate and appropriate with their responses. It's such a sensitive issue and I would think a person would understand this, especially someone with weight issues themselves. Call me crazy but I agree with you! Regardless, they are your feelings about the issue and I thank you for sharing them with us. You are VALIDATED here!
