Day 4 of TO
Now that I'm on the TO. I am doing 2 or 3 protein shakes a day, depends on hunger, and one small protein only meal at night.
But, on a regular day when I'm "behaving" usually I have some sort of egg beater omlette in the morning with turkey sausage or my very favorite - salmon. For lunch maybe a small salad with tuna or turkey or chicken (you get the idea) but more often than not I'll just grab a few turkey meatballs or cook up some ground beef add alittle tomato and parmasean cheese and Farmer Boy Greek Dressing (Low Fat, Low Carb, Low Sodium and Low Cal. the stuff is awsome!!). For dinner usually the same thing just aittle more. Then I love to have canned fruit (in Juice) for desert but now tha****ermelon is in season that's it. I only drink water or fresh lemonade with splenda about 100 oz a day. I Haven't done protein drink since maybe a year out, until now on the TO. When I'm not behaving it's a Carb fest - Which is why I've given myself a Time Out. I'm not coming out of the corner until I am back to my Regular Jeans.
I exercise 6 days a week - eliptcal for 40 to 60 min plus hopefully some other aerobic activity run/walk.
The shakes that I'm using now is Nectar Cappucino, as recomended by Patty B she is the one who gave us the heads up on this TO program - , And I REALLY like them.
Do you go to support group? Clinical Nutition on New Scotland Ave meets every tues night at 5:00pm
Let me know if I can be of any help.

Hi Ladies! Well, noon has come and gone....I did have to eat a half of hamburger plain. I had my protein, was drinking water and MAN my stomach was literally growling and I started to get that yucky, empty pit of a pouch feeling...I'm assuming this is normal. So hamburger it was and I feel much better. It's funny as I just realized I am not craving sugar in the least bit...just SOLID food! Ahhh well, I'm feeling better and have my bearings now. Just wanted to check in mid day and report to all...I know it's probably trival but it really helps me to get through the day knowing I can come on here and just connect. Hope everyone's day is going well. Hot here and we're hoping for rain!

Congrats to all... with each day you get through, I pray you all get stronger & stronger. I did well the first week (lost 10) and then the second didn't stick to it as well and the scale didn't budge... trying to get back on track again today. Don't want my purchasing expensive protein drinks to have been in vain. Doing modified - 3 proten drinks a day (around 60grams together) and a salad with protein in it. One day at a time, and pick myself up and keep going if I slip.. my mantra...

WE CAN DO THIS LADIES, KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK, AND DONT GET DISCOURAGED FOR EATING A LITTLE PROTEIN WHEN NEEDED... YOU KNOW YOUR BODIES.. THIS IS DAY 2 FOR ME AND LOST 1LB, HAVING AN OK TIME NOW THAT IT IS 12:30 HERE IN CA. THIS MORNING WAS BAD, I WANTED CRACKERS SOOOOO BAD, BREAD SOOOO BAD, IT WAS STRESS RELATED AND I RELIZED IT, PLUS IT HELPS I AM AT WORK AND I ONLY BROUGHT MY SHAKES HERE WITH ME AND I GOT RID OF ALL THE JUNK IN MY WORK DRAWERS SO THANK GOD THAT I HAD NO OTHER FOOD BY ME.. NOW THE STRESS OF THE MORNING HAS PASSED AND ALL IS WELL,,, JUST HAD 2ND PROTEIN SHAKE, 40 OZ H2O, ICE TEA AND CHEWING GUM LIKE CRAZY..
TAKE CARE LADIES AND LETS KEEP THIS GOING.
DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW LONG CAN WE KEEP ON THIS PLAN???
Hi again! Well it's 2:43 here in the midwest....can you hear all of my deep breathing out the in CA?? Geez, this is tougher than I thought it would be. Just had a tsp. of chunky p. butter but so far the slice of bread last night has been my only carb filled item since Tuesday. I am going to weigh myself tomorrow. I get so attached to the dang scales so I'm watching that issue. I just had another protein drink so I'm at 60 gms. for the day so far. I remember reading that 120 gms. would really boost the weight loss but I wonder about how hard that is on your kidneys. I feel better at the moment but it is so true that sugar is a drug. NO doubt about it. Staying off sugar is so much harder than when I gave up alcohol! I think it's defineatly "padded room" material!!!! BUT, one day at a time.....and even one HOUR at a time....Glad to know you are with me in this. We CAN do this, we WILL does this. I think eating a few bites (there I got the e on the end that time!) of meat will be totally find, might even help with the drop. So, that's my plan. I'm going to get my small salmon fillet out of the freezer to dethaw and will broil it. I like that cold too so can nibble on that with no problem. I just hate the feeling of a empty feeling in my stomach. It makes me kind of nauseated. I'm sure I'll be back on here mid-evening for another post!
