List of labs
My PCP orders a Complete Metobolic Panel every three months....he checks my iron every month due to my low numbers over the past year....I would think you would need a complete Metobolic Panel at least every six months, even if the numbers are normal range all the time. But, that being said, I'm just going on my experiences. My surgeon isn't involved in any of it actually. I haven't seen him in ages. I just told my general doctor about my Gastric Bypass and we discussed it all from there. He's good at keeping up with the new information on bypass patients as it unfolds. My hemotolgist is also super great!!! He has 26 gastric bypass patients (in a town of 100,000) or so. He's one of three hemotologists in the area I believe. Anyway, I would think either your general doctor or a hemotologist would be the kind of doc you need to discuss your labs with. If nothing else, YOUR concerns should be validated and addressed. Hope this info helps! lbb_yogawoman1
