time out start today
hi i have been on this site for 5 years, never did much with my profile, but will be working on that now that I need the support. I am 4 years 4 mths post open rny, gained 20 lbs and never made it to goal so TODAY I AM STARTING THE TIME OUT PLAN I would like to lose 20lbs, then another 20 lbs for a total of 40lbs,,, SO FAR SO GOOD (ONLY 11:00 AM) does any one else want to start today, we can hold eachother accountable..
I think the only way I can keep myself motivated is by reading others successes on this plan, so Patty B. please keep post ing on your success as well as all you others,,,
LETS HELP ONEANOTHER STAY FOCUSED.. WE CAN DO THIS.
I started the Time Out on Monday and can honestly say I was totally psyched, prepared, ready, willing, torqued and hyped. But it's been soooo hard. Monday and Tuesday were the worst - I had to remove myself from my house because I was getting snappish and irritable. I blame the big, bad sugar monster staging a revolt because it wasn't getting fed.
The good news: Today (Wednesday) has been MUCH easier.
The better news: I've lost 3.5 pounds!
Yay to us for grabbing the reins!
ok it's 3:30 here in CA and I am doing great , BUT I went to the cabinet to get my boys a snack and almost ate some cheese crackers, had to stop and ask my self what was i thinking....... it is loike I almost forgot that I am doing this,,, I cut out a FAT picture of myself prior RNY and posted it on my computer so i wont eat while on the internet. this has been a news thing i enjoy eat and surf the web. Good luck to you all and it is amazing how bad the HEAD hunger can be at times,
WE CAN DO THIS, I once read that nothing tastes as good as thin feels, so thats my new moto, or here is one, once I lose the 40lbs I desire so badly to lose wich will put me around 162 lbs at 5'8 should be size 8 or 10 then I can eat it... (in a small qty)
GOOD LUCK TO YOU ALL
Something that really helps me and sticks in my head is that I go to the before and after pictures and just dwell on how wonderful and amazing all of these people are! I dwell on how the quality of life has been so drastically altered and I dwell on how many lives have been saved! It really sticks with me for some reason. I've done it twice today (so far). I sit and scroll through them and just think about it for 10 minutes or so....guess it's a form of positive meditation now that I think about it! Hum! Interesting. So, maybe looking at the pics and thinking about how amazing we are will help you keep the positive frame of mind! Hang in there.....I will!
Hi! I started (officially) today and have done great so far today (6:43 p.m.) It's been interesting...stressful but necessary. I posted earlier in the day that it was my start date today so yes, I'll try and look you up each day to see how you're doing and you can do the same for me! I just love this website. It helped me so much during the first year of my weight loss and I am confident it will do the same for me now. I have 30 to loose to get back to my goal weight and I know I will be successful! Postive thoughts!!!!!
10:35 [pm I wanted to report that I had a very sucessful first day! We shall see if I'm able to sleep. I was VERY hungry (not head hunger but stomach felt very empty) at 7 this evening so I did eat a 1/2 of a plain hamburger. Other than that I stuck with my protein drinks, Wu Yi tea, Crystal Light and water the entire day. It really wasn't that bad! I do tend to have trouble sleeping with an empty stomach though...may try another protein drink right before bed. So, day one is done and I lived through it!!!!!!!!!!! I'm pretty excited...
Way to go, great job, keep up the good work.. It is 9:06 here and i am drinking my protein drink before i go to bed, my tummy is growling, i will be looking at the before and after photo's for more motivation. i go to work thursday, and sitting at my desk all day will be a challenge, but i shall be an overcomer....
Good luck on thursday, lets keep posting our success!!!!
