That is my question. Yesterday I had an iced ff sf carmel latte., about 90 minutes later I didn't feel quite right. I took my blood sugar and it was 54. I had eaten enough during the day so was wondering if it could be the caffiene. If I buy a hot latte I don't drink it so fast. It can last for hours. any advice would be appreciated. thanks  susan

It did for me!  I had switched to caffeinated coffee because of headaches, and my blood sugar started dropping.  When I switched back to decaf, it stopped dropping -- and that was the only change I was making in the morning.  I've read that there are studies that state that caffeine helps blood sugar levels in diabetics, and by "help" they mean lower.  So it makes perfect sense that it can lower blood sugar. That's my experience.  I now drink only decaf or half caf/half decaf, and don't have any problems. Lisa
