Alesia - that awesome that your family did that for you!!!! I'm afraid I don't have any family that loves me that much. Hi Laurie, Good attitude, every day is a new day and a new opportunity to get your ship sailing in the right direction...So, repeat after me :       I am THE CAPTAIN, I am THE CAPTAIN, I am in control of my ship ...Keep up the good work, keep workin' good at your food choices... As for the pie on Fitday, everyones is going to look different, for myself I try to keep it in 3 equal wedges while applying the following 3 rules:  (1) calories from fat in the food I eat 30% or less per serving  (2) Calories for the day between 1200 - 1500  (3) limit "white" carbs as much as possible... I saw where you posted looking for more input from others on this, I'm sure you will get lots of feedback, just keep working on finding the right fit for you...  See ya soon...Alesia

Thanks for the best wishes Denise, Looks like you had a really great food day, good choices all around and nice totals on your daily numbers...Where did you get the Nectar sample? always on the lookout for different protein drinks that taste good to me... Still spending alot of time whoozy but not worried cause I know sleepies are a side effect of the pain meds and also resting helps the healing process...Actually feeling pretty good for only one day out, thought I would be sore in more areas than I am... Have a nice afternoon...Until we chat again...Alesia

Hey.  I got the samples from Vitalady.com I try that before I order since the tubs of Nectar are around 3 pounds I think.  So far I've tried Twisted Cherry, which is very good but now I think I like the Strawberry Kiwi better so I'll order that when the Cherry is gone.  I love the Roadside Lemondade also (big lemon fan). Still have samples of Crystal Sky (whatever flavor that is - just sounded pretty and I hope it's blue.  Yes, I do act like a kid sometimes) and Lemon Iced Tea I think. I'll let you know how they are.  Look on the website above and let me know what you think. Take care, talk soon.  Go back to sleep

Hi Alesia, I'm glad to hear everything went well!  That really was nice of your family to pay for that!  I know I need some PS but it's gonna be awhile before I can afford it.  No worries though..I really gotta lose these last 12 pounds first.    As for me being tired..I do take an iron supplement daily and a B-12 sublingual every other day although I think I am going to start taking the B-12 every day.  I was getting the shot but stopped that about a year ago.  It's been awhile since I had my bloodwork done so I am curious to see what it says.  Last time everything came back normal but I was on the low side for B-12 and folic acid.  So we'll see what they say.  Yesterday was okay..I was a little high in carbs but overall it wasn't a bad day. B: 20 oz sugar free caramel nonfat latte S: la tortilla low carb green onion tortilla with laughing cow lite swiss cheese wedge L: sweet meatloaf  -- basically a regular meatloaf recipe with pineapple added. ..it's really good S: 8 strawberries S: 20 oz sugar free vanilla nonfat latte D: handul of tortilla chips with some salsa and melted cheese and then a morningstar farms corn dog with some mustard Calories -- 1280 Fat -- 44 Carbs -- 143 (18 grams fiber) Protein -- 83 I've got my monthly support meeting tonight which seems to motivate me every month.  Plus my nutrionist will be there so maybe I'll pick her brain a bit on my tiredness.   Hope everyone else is having a great day. Hi Kerri, I think you did very well for the day, kept the fat down, good number of cals and protein as for the carbs, I notice the latte has alot and I know the strawberries do too, so those had something to do with the higher carb numbers, I don't sweat the carbs in the lattes' though cause they also are full of good protein and of course they taste just so yummy ... Good luck at your support meeting...I have not made mine in the last 2 months due to other obligations...Mine is slowly dwindling down to nothing, my surgeon is no longer doing the WLS procedure and most of the older post-ops stopped coming after they reach goal so fewer and fewer people around to attend it, we still have them for those who want it but attendence is really low, like 6-8 people at most - that's one of the reasons I so happy to have you guys here at OH, you've become my main support system and I really appreciate you all... Keep doing a great job, you are awesome  Alesia

OMG!!  A corn dog?  from Morningstar Farms????  Sounds heavenly.  I haven't had one of those since I was a child. Are they good?

Denise, They are fantastic.  I can't have regular corn dogs because of the high fat content.  They always make me dump.  But these one's are great.  Only 150 calories.  They also have corn dog bites!  Of course it's all soy product but I don't think it tastes any different really.  Mostly you are just tasting the corn meal part.   Kerri
