Well, well, well, hello to everyone, Tuesday I did a modified liquids day with my focus being on protein, protein, protein, in preparation for todays BL/BA surgery...It felt pretty good having a day of mostly liquids although drinking all that protein did cut into my drinking of water and crystal light, so I don't really think I got enough of that in, but the protein counts were GREAT... Will try to post back in tomorrow, see how whoozy I am on pain meds, do not think I will have much to report since I cannot eat or drink prior to surgery and don't know that I will feel like doing so afterwards, but I will try to come by and check in with everyone to see how your day went... B - 10 oz chocolate/banana/coffee protein frappachino S - Oh Yeah! chocolate/ peanut butter protein bar L - 20 oz decaf sf/ff fv & caramel latte S - 5 prune bites D - 10 oz chocolate/coconut Protein on the Go        5 french fries (finger snatch of kids plates, go figure ) S - 10 oz hot cocoa with reddiwhip PLUS - 66 oz water/crystal light TOTALS =     Cals - 906     Fat - 18     Carbs - 83     Protein - 103  Alesia

Hi Lucky, Congratulations on keeping a positive attitude , I think that is very important in controlling your weight loss journey...I know from past experience that when I get negative about myself I use food to control it and I'm trying hard not to let the negative mental side of me to win out when it comes to food... Overall you did not pick bad food choices, need to work on more protein and liquids...Have you ever tried posting on Fitday to help you keep track of cals, protein, fat and carbs...If not you might want to check that site out...   Thanks for posting with us, please come back again...Alesia PS. the banana bars sound great, could you post the recipe?

Hey Anita, Yes, I think you did good today, like your choices and noticed that you stayed away from the white carbs ( bread for sure) ...Its good you got the gym to work out also, I know I always have an endorphin rush after I exercise, which feels really good and keeps me going for the rest of the evening... I'm confident you will do well with the scale at your next meeting, just remember that it takes time and patience to keep the ship floating in the right direction and who is running this ship THE CAPTAIN - ANITA" thats who ... Keep up the good work, see you tomorrow...Alesia

Hi Karen, It looks like you made some awesome choices today... Good Job!!!  I have problems with food at Bob Evans and also Cracker Barrel, so really have to be careful when we go there to just share a bite of DH or someone else's plate... As for the hunger, have you tried consuming a protein like nuts or a drink 30 minutes or less before your workout, that has worked for me, I use nuts as an afternoon snack quite often, just a thought... Have a great day tomorrow...Alesia

Hi Carla, Thanks for thinking of me...Sorry the boy is still sick, that sucks for all of you  ...I know going to the gym is one of the things that motivates you, but you are doing good keeping to your food even without the workout and maybe a few days off will really confuse your system and cause you to see another loss - my nut always told me to change something about my workout routine to shake up my body, hope this might work for you too, even though is was not a planned hiatus... See ya tomorrow... Alesia
