I usually post on the other OH page and I just found out abotu you guys..HI I go for my year weigh in next Tuesday and I started the TIME OUT today.  I am down 160 lbs and want to kick it in gear and see if I can loose a few more by the 19th.  I just for Nectar Caribbean Cooler..not bad. Question..can I have decaf coffee with this?   And can I have 4 drinks a day?   Thanks so much  Andrea

Thanks Becky.  I can not complain.  I wore a size 16 pant today for the first time in years..I was a size 32.  Andrea

Look back in other posts about the TIME OUT prescribed by one WLS doc, some people are modifying it to meet their needs. The spirit of why I am doing it is to regain control and get back to the basics.

I just finished day 5 of my version of time out, and after 4 days, I was down 8 pounds.  I do drink a cup or 2 of decaf in the morning, I have 3 protein drinks, and I've been eating a little bit of solid food at night.  One night I ate 2 bites of cottage cheese, and on the other nights I've eaten a small amount of veggies, either raw or cooked.  Tonight at my grandson's high school graduation, I ate 2 bites of steak and a couple of grilled veggies.   Since I ate a little more food tonight, I only had 2 1/2 protein drinks.      I assume by 4 drinks, you're asking about protein drinks.   Although the original Time Out described here had only 3, people seem to be adapting it to make it personal.     If you're using Nectar, I would think 4 protein drinks would be ok - that's only 89grams of protein and 360 calories.         I've gotta tell you, though, that even though I feel much better, I'm hungry.  I want to hold out for at least 8 or 9 days. Good Luck!

I am hungry too.  I am trying to be good  for 7 days.  I remember in the early days I wanted no food..well that is gone.  I may have an Achiev One with my vitamins.  It is only 120 calories and 20 gram of protein and 2 gram sugar.  I knew the first day would be hard.  Thanks for your input.

BTW, congratulations on your amazing success so far!  That's awesome.  I, too, remember the days of not being hungry - the good old days.  You should be fine with your AchieveOne.  Good Luck!

Hi Andrea! I wanted to let you know that I'm on this too, (13 lbs down in 7 days), and I do not like Nectar (the fruit flavors).  They do make a cappuccino latte flavored Nectar that I love and it satisfies me for wanting my coffee.  Give it a try.  it's been a life saver for me.  I add all my sugar free syrups. Good Luck! Shelley Lap RNY 10/2004 down 180 lbs. (at goal)

I will try that flavor next.  I liked the Carribean cooler I had yesterday.  I am hungry today.  Day two 3/4 over but the hard part is at home tonight.  I am keeping focused on my goal.  Thanks so much.

Andrea
