Hey out there...Its Monday and I made it through the weekend - did pretty good at sticking to my program...My goal for the weekend was to cut out the graze style eating that I do many weekends (busy schedule = poor meal planning)...Sunday DH and I shared a sampler platter for lunch and went to a neighborhood BBQ for dinner, went to the BBQ knowing I would sample a little of just about everything being served so not going to look at that as grazing but rather as an extended meal plan which I stretched out eating time to about 45 minutes but limited quantity of everything... B - 10 oz protein hot cocoa       1/3 of an apple turnover       2 crisp thin slices of bacon S - 2 sf nougats L - 1 chicken finger      2 mini southwest spring rolls      2 fried mozz sticks      1 slice garlic toast      1/2 cup white bean chicken chili       S - 16 oz decaf sf/ff cinnamon dulce latte       2 sf chewy chocolate cookies D - 5 chips and salsa       about 20 little goldfish crackers       5 slices of cucumber with a tbsp of guacamole       2 oz BBQ pork chip       1/2 a fire grilled zucchini       1/4 cup penne with pine nuts       5 potato chips PLUS - 68 oz water/crystal light and 10 oz hot tea TOTALS  =   Cals - 1425     Fat - 70     Carbs - 115     Protein - 94 See ya'll later ...Alesia

Well I thought I did horrible yesterday because I was out most the day and ended up eating out.  Well turns out the eating out wasn't sooo bad...it was when I got home and started munching on some crackers.  I was eating right out of the box and I haven't the foggiest idea how many I ate.  I hate when I do stuff like that.  So I am not sure about my calories yesterday... B: got a venti nonfat sugar free caramel latte but I only drank about half of it, if even that.  I also had a lemon bar. L: Seafood salad from subway D: turkey bagel sandwich from Einstein Bros and small side of potato salad. S: about a million crackers  (well it seemed like a million) Here's my totals without the crackers... Calories -- 1134 Fat -- 43 Carbs -- 147 Protein -- 43 Gosh those numbers look terrible..only 43 grams of protein.  Sheesh..I need to get with the program.  Good thing about Mondays..I usually get right back on track but dang it I need to get through the weekends better. *sigh*  At least I haven't gained any weight.. Hi Kerri, Okay consider your "grab " hand officially smacked, bad crackers, bad crackers ...You are right though the day looks pretty good overall, probably would have had higher protein numbers if the snack had not been carb oriented... I know sometimes I find myself snacking of stuff for no clear reason also...So far I have been able to reel myself in before I ate "the whole thing" of something I really wasn't wanting in the first place...It is hard figuring out the whys and whatfors  - and very true about the surgery no fixing our heads...That's why I keep coming to OH, lots of good info and support to be found in the postings...For now just know that we all veer off the path sometimes, get up brush yourself off and get back on track, as you say, it is Monday, a new day and a fresh start, don't beat yourself up... My MIL came over yesterday for a bbq so I was entertaining her all day.. it was a different kind of day but I think I still did ok... here goes

B- ham and cheese omelette.

L- chicken and beef lunch meat cheese sandwich with no bread.

S- honeydew, watermellon medley about a cup and a half.

D- tri tip 2 oz. couple bites of a twice baked potato, and sf low carb... low fat cherry cheese cake

S- ice cream with protein..

calories 1188, fat 61, carbs 55, protein 96. Little low on protein but no exercise so I was trying to keep the cals lower today.

Have fun.. My son is home sick so I am with him today.

Hi Carla, Sounds like a nice day, did you enjoy visiting with you MIL? Overall it looks like you made some excellent choices, protein #'s still loo****ould have used a few more cals though, want to keep the calorie #'s up even when you are not officially exercising, I know my body still burns the same for a couple days after an intense workout day and you do pretty intense workouts regularly- remember the point of th workouts is to build muscle which in turn burns fat even when you are not exercising and I think I remember you body fat ratio being under 20%, so trust me, just keep up the calorie #'s OK... Sorry to hear you are at home with a sick child, hope he does not share it with you... Alesia

That was a great weekend, Alesia!!  I knew you could do it!!!! B - 1 serving oatmeal w/Smart Balance, 2 T ground flax and 1 T sf orange marmalade, banana S - 1 pack pb on wh crackers, AchievONE L - 1/2 c ff cottage cheese w/1/2 c sliced strawberries, sf Jell-O cup, 1 pack O'Coco's, 1 sf Werther, 1 sf Dove chocolate S - 1/2 c cherries, 1 slice (about 3/4 oz) Munster cheese, AchievONE D - 3 oz salad w/1 oz lf cheese, sf Jell-O cup w/ff RW, sf fudgie S - 1/2 c grapes, 3 parm ch wafers Plus I had 64 oz water, 28 oz sf hot cocoa w/ff RW, 16 oz diet cf green tea, 16 oz half decaf coffee, 12 oz cf Diet Coke and I treaded for 30 minutes and did light weights for 30 minutes. Totals for the day:  1578 calories, 29% from fat, 42% from carbs, 29% from protein

I bow down before your greatness (LOL)...You had a really great day on Sunday Connie!!  I feel really good about how my weekend went also, so to take page from your book, YEAH for me... Tomorrow is my last day before surgery, I am toying with doing an all liquids day, with at least 4 protein drinks on the food plan and supplementing with tea, water, etc...Don't know how my body is going to react to going under anestesia (sp?) again and want to go in with a lightweight mentality to be prepared...Also I ate a fair amount of sugar free goodies today and think it might be good to get the gassy stuff worked out of my system... Anyway, you did good girl ...Keep it up...See ya tomorrow...Alesia

S - Hot Sugar Free Jello        1/2 cup of shelled pistachios  Bed - Nectar Shake  Plus: A bunch of water and CL.  TOTALS  =   Cals - 952   Fat - 45    Carbs - 29  Protein - 116 This is my first time really, really tracking all of my food intake and I am shocked it didn't add up to more because it seemed between all the eating and drinking I was at it all day. At night I am having a hard time with head hunger. I am really happy with my ability to customize foods in fitday. Sounds like everyone is doing really well! Molly
