Molly.. you are always such an inspiration. I don't know what to do about my enemy.. the scale! Some folks say they weigh daily.. others weekly. What's best... really? I am going to challenge myself to come to WLS graduates every day and read posts. I need to be inspired.. but also to be the inspiration. We are all in this together. Kumbaya! I am patting myself on the back for my little successes (more water.. back at the gym) and telling myself.. its one victory at a time! I'll celebrate those... but not with food! So here I am... 2 lbs lighter after 10 days .. of changing some habits. I am still trying to overcome grabbing those crackers... but its so much better than it was! I am looking forward to a week of 4 mornings at the gym.... more water.. and fewer carbs.  Hang in there everyone! We can do this.

Hey Helen! Wow, 4 mornings at the gym! That is an awesome thing to look forward to. Pretty soon they will be calling you Helen the Gym Rat. That is a good thing. It is really fun to be a regular at the gym. Hmm...maybe I should try that too! So great to see you today . LOL! KumbayaYour 2 lbs in 10 days is awesome especially since it is a loss you have gotten by changing your habits.

Hello Everyone, it's great to see all the different responses. Molly I love reading your posts! They motivate me, and belive me when I say I need motovation. Today I opened up the cedar chest and retreived my shorts from last year. I need to do some work to get back into them. Granite I've had some health problems and was hospitalized for 19 days from late November to early April; but I'm on the road to recovery and finally feeling good enough to do something about it.  I had the hubby air up my bike tires and I'm planning on riding some time this week. Also will be heading to the beach sometime soon and If I can get a few lbs. off till then it will be great.  I am a huge grazer, I think it's due to the job and the stress that comes with it.  Although it dosent help when the co worker brings in all kinds of sweets and their right in front of you.   Temptation rears it's ugly head.  I will do some kind of physical activity tomorrow and try and not eat late at night. Marie:)

Hi Marie! It is fun to read all of the different responses. Gives you the feeling you aren't the only one trying to attack this thing and win - huh? Anyway, nice to hear from you! I know the at work grazing can be a real toughy but just consider your beach body and hang in there as they say. huge hugs! Molly

The entire TO postings led me to rethink the food I reached for on a bite by bite basis.  I was on a yo-yo with four pounds.  That four pounds is gone and I ahave remained steady for nearly a week.  My BOT has to be exercise.  It has never been a good fit and I continue to make excuses.  My accountability will be to post what I did to move my body each day.  I won't be promising to work out for ten hours per week.  Today's promise is a fifteen minute walk, NO MATTER what time I get home.  I leave the house at 7:30am and rarely get home before 8pm.  Nope, I don't have a lunch break to use of my own choices.  But I have a great parking lot in the bosom of my cul de sac, lighted and smooth.  I can walk around the freaking parking lot before I go upstairs to veg on the couch.  Tonight, no less than fifteen minutes.  Deal?

Hey Valerie! (it IS Valerie, right?)  Hope you are BOT with your BOD as Sarah would say!  Here's to us at least thinking about doing something instead of avoiding it!

It is Vicky.  Maybe Valerie is my alter ego. I did some improvising due to scheduling.  I needed to stop at two stores on the way home from a six pm physical therapy appointment (husband is sick and needed some more meds and supplies).  I parked at the end of the parking lot and walked in both stores.  Once home, I live on the second floor, so I went up and down the stairs two extra trips.   It was a start!!!

Molly, You are such an inspiration!  I really enjoy reading your posts. I am between consulting jobs, so a stay-at-home for the summer.  My girl is 3 and I have found that since I'm home, I often go looking for something to eat, or eat her nutri-grain bar that she doesn't eat, etc.  I have not regained, but I am about 30 lbs away from my goal.  I've found visiting this board has helped me to get focused and your recent posts have been especially enjoyable. I will definitely participate! Connie

Hi Everyone, I did really well today I think I had less carbs than I've had in weeks!  I'm with you Valerie, I will do 15 minuets tonight.  Thanks for getting me going. I just returned from shopping and I have no desire to do anything but I will just to be right up there with you. Here come my sit ups and leg lifts.  Heck I  might even pry myself off of this chair and hit the weight bench for a bit.  I have to say that you guys are great! I cannot beleive that I was so dumb as to not get on this board at least a few times weekly; had I done so, I probably would have been much better off.  Oh well, better late than never.  Here's to all of you Oh and by the way I am drinking a mini (very mini) coors light at the moment... very little carbs.  Hang in there everone! Marie

I am loving this support!!  I am keeping off the carbs, despite some more head cravings. Tonight, since I just wanted something to eat but I KNOW I wasn't hungry I had a couple of dill pickle spears. Think about it, have you EVER heard of anyone overeating and gaining on dill pickles? I mean, after 2, MAYBE 3, I mean who wants to just finish off the jar?? Plus, I am SURE if I tried to eat something sweet now with that taste in my mouth, it would NOT be very appetizing.  I happened to get another compliment at work today about losing weight despite the scale had not moved last time I checked yesterday, that is also reinforcing to eat pickles instead of cookies!!!
