Good afternoon Connie, Don't brood too much, you really are doing well as far as choices go...Did you ever find out from the doctor if your meds might be affecting weight gain?  When I was in my 1st plateau during the loss faze, my nut suggested mixing up the times that I exercised and maybe adding 15 minutes to my work out as a way to confuse the body (it gets complacent after a while, she said), then you can get a jumpstart again...Why not give this a try for the next 2 weeks and see what happens , just a suggestion to zap those blues... Keep on workin' it...Alesia

Hi Molly, I saw you sign-off post for the time out program, glad it seemed to work on getting you back on track and hopefully will make it easier for you to stay on course now ...I use Fit day as my regular tracker, but do go to sparkpeople sometimes to find out details on things I cannot find on Fitday... Look forward to seeing your post tomorrow, I know you will be reporting in great choices ... Until tomorrow...Alesia

Good morning to you. Weekends always seem to be that way now.. a year ago I was lucky if I moved off my chair in front of the pc from playing computer games. Today we are building a waterfall and stream into a pond in the back yard. It is gonna take all of the day and maybe part of tommorrow. Its gonna look nice next to the zen garden we have back there. Then I will do some swiming in between to stay cooled off. Later tonight we are having a bbq of chicken with corn.. none for me as it doesnt sit well but the family loves it.

Yesterdays menu

B- protein shake

S- banana and pb... love this

L- carnitas and chicken taco with out the shells

S- 2 protein balls

D- chicken with cheese, last of my yams =-( and peas.

S- ice cream =-) and protein mixed in... glad I found a way to not feel guilty about my ice cream..

totals calories 1340... fate 53 .. carbs 81... protein 132..

Worked out two hours yesterday for a total of 1000 calories burned.

Alesia.. on days I dont go to the gym should I reduce my calorie intake or should it remain constant. Not sure about that.. like today and tommorrow I wont be going so should I eat less. how do you do it.

Hi Carla, The waterfall sounds very relaxing, what a great idea for the yard and you WILL get in good exercise just building that...You did good with your food choices and calories are looking well rounded also... As for how I handle food on workout vs non-workout days...You know my range is 1200-1550 a day for maintenance...I really don't change the amount I eat whether I go to work out or not I just try to stay in that range, I allow for a 5 lb fluctation on my scale before I panic about gaining and really look hard at my food choices so I don't worry if the scale is up a pound or 2 when I don't workout over the weekend or miss a gym day cause I know its going to go back down as soon as I get back in my groove...However, I do think subconsiously I probably stay at the lower end of my range on non work out days and let myself have a little more "high calorie" room on days when I do get to the gym (for instance I work out every friday, and I go out for dinner every friday and share a meal with DH, it usually has something that I would term a no-no on a non-nongym day such as hot wings or fried mozz ) ...Hope this helps... Remember even though you may not be "working out" by the strictest defination, yardwork, housework, walking the dogs, riding horse, etc. still burns alot of cals and can be counted as exercise... Will you eat the chicken and sub out something else for the corn tonight?  Alesia
