You may want to talk to your endo about taking dry D as others have stated.  Since we do malabsorb fats it is questionable as to how much we would absorb of D that is in an oil base.  I take dry D capsules. I've heard/read that we want our Vitamin D levels 60 or above to make sure we absorb calcium. You want to make sure that you take calcium citrate in doses no bigger than 500 mg (elemental) at a time spread over the day and separate from your iron by several hours. I had primary hyperparathyroidism due to a parathyroid tumor which was identified prior to WLS so I know of it's affects (high calcium and high PTH). Kathy
