Sonja, You will just have to try your protein to see if it works. I will tell you about what I use. Nectars and Essence are 90 calories and 23g of protein. They have NO sugar. I had three a day so that was a total of 270 calories a day plus whatever I got from Crystal Light. I do mix some of the Nectars with Crystal Light instead of water so that is an added 5 calories. Salads are veggies only with a fat free dressing. Absolutely NO protein, especially no cheese. Hope this helps. As far as whether it will help you get to your goal, I don't know. I know that I lost rapidly at first and now it's very slow. Each of us is different - I have a very slow metabolism and it's difficult for me to lose so I have to be very patient. Patty
