Time Out Day 2 Over!
Ok day 2 is over and it is Wednesday morning starting day 3 and I have not had a single bite of FOOD, just my shakes and water. To tell you the truth I am NOT the least bit hungry, even after making my husband's dinner, was not the least bit tempted. I am really determined to do the 2 weeks, I feel I should be able to give up 2 weeks of food to get on the right track and on the way to better health. I mean we did the most drastic thing of having the surgery, having our insides rearranged, we can do THIS!! I am now trying to plan what I will eat once I go back on food, maybe two shakes and a small meal of veg soup or chicken breast with veg. But I am determined to NOT let any JUNK food pass my lips.
So far no more headaches, but this morning I did wake up with leg cramps and that worried me a little, maybe too much water! So for day two, I added a protein shake and had a total of 4 shakes, 3 nectar shakes and 1 Pro Whey. The rest of time was drinking water. Also had 3 coffees with SF creamer about 8 ounces each.

Becky,
I was doing a modified version of the time out where I eat a small high protein meal each day and drink 2-3 shakes. Today I am going to go full swing with liquids only. I think your protein shakes would be fine. It might not be ideal because they are a little higher calorie, but you would still be under 1000 calories. Just make sure you supplement with lots of water, broth, cystal lite, etc. This plan really helps you refocus so I think any good quality protein would be fine even though the surgeon suggested a couple of specific ones.

I have been watching how this is TO is going for you all, and I want to thank you all. My surgeon suggested this a couple of weeks ago, but I wasn't mentally ready. Yesterday, I decided to jump onboard, so today is day one for me. I'm going for a TT revision on Friday, so I had planned on eating very light anyway. GOOD LUCK ALL!!!
