Maybe I'm a dumbie, but uh... what's time out? Cause if it's a place for people who've been eating bad, I think I belong there...

You are exactly right, it's a "time out" from food.  It was suggested by my surgeon and another surgeon as well.  For 2 weeks you consume 3 protein shakes a day and the rest is jus****er, crystal lite, broth, etc.  It's for people who have regained or are making bad choices and it kind of resets the pouch.  I tried a modified version of it where I had the 3 shakes and added a salad or very low calorie protein meal each day.  I lost 7lbs in 12 days and when I caved in and ate a rice krispie treat, I dumped.  The unique thing about that is that I NEVER dump.  So, not only does it shrink your pouch up a little so you feel full on less food when you eat, but it also can reset the "dump-o-meter" for you.  Plus, you lose weight while you are on liquids.  You just have to be careful easing out of it so you don't put the weight back on.  Some people are doing more than 3 shakes and some are adding in a meal with 2 shakes.   There is a group of people doing it so you have some support along the way.   Angela
