I got a brand new bike today.. I rode it for 3 miles.. it was so fun. I love it. I can hardly wait until tomarrow, so I can ride it again.. I wonder if  riding it today helped burn off some of those baked chips and salsa I ate..lol well just was bursting at the seems and had to tell someone..

I am happy you got a new bike today. I live on a dirt road, so riding a bike is no fun for me, but if I lived on paved streets, I would ride one too.

What kind did you get? I have a Giant Sedona and love it. We did 52.4 miles over Memorial Day Weekend on the Mickelson Trail in the Black Hills. It was hard, but oh so much fun. Today I did 8 miles and felt so much stronger after that long ride.  Check out the trail at www.mickelsentrail.com and have a great time riding! It is very adicting! Diona

it is just a cheap walmart next bike...  Next Powerclimber..18 speed, but I love it and I've really been wanting one, and I'm so glad to have it. It was really fun. Wow you can really ride yours.. my bottom was sore just after 3 miles. I think I need a jell cover for my seat. lol anyway goodjob on 52 miles wow, I don't think i'll ever ride that far..I know i'll love what I do ride though.

My daughter bought a Schwin at Walmart and it has been a very good bike. I know what you mean on the seat thing though - it just takes a while to break your butt in! I tried a gel cover on our trip - I don't think it made that much of a difference. They do make bike shorts for women with pads n the right places though - that is going to be my next purchase!  Just think though - 2 years ago at this time I wouldn't have been able to do the ride - I could hardly breath! We've come a long way baby!!!! Diona

I got a bike this summer as well.  I just love the feeling of being young and silly again that I get when coasting down the hills around here.  Unfortunately, to go down the hill, you must at some point get up the hill! Have fun, Sally
