Non-Timeout roll call!!
Just wanted to see if there was anyone else around here who is NOT on the Time Out Plan! LOL Don't get me wrong, I think it's great that so many are trying this, and I'm glad you're meeting with success. I just wanted to remind folks that not everybody is participating, and was just wondering how the rest of the Grad population is faring lately!
Have a great day!

Hi Carlita! I'm not on the Time Out Plan, but I'm glad to see that its working for so many! things around here are pretty boring~no gain/no loss, just maintaining right now (thankfully). I think I could push a little more protein, but with this warmer weather I haven't been in a real protein eating mood. Today is chilly though, so I might have some of my chili dip~sounds warm and yummy!!!! Hope all is well with you!!!!!

Hi, Tracy! Nice to hear from you. I'm doing pretty well maintaining myself. I'm not at the weight I would truly love to be, but at least I'm not gaining. I may actually get up the nerve to try this TimeOut thing at some future point, but not right now. Life is kind of stressful, and going into something like that knowing that stress is high would be a recipe for immediate failure. I work in a school, it's the end of the year, and it's beyond crazy. Once my life becomes a little more routine, I might think about giving it a try.
I have been pushing more protein actually. I have been trying to do a shake in the AM at least, to give me a little protein boost. A couple weeks ago, I got kind of scared. One evening, I was so tired and fatigued that I was literally feeling woozy and couldn't keep my eyes open. I thought about how much protein I had been taking in, and realized that it wasn't nearly enough. So I started with the shake routine the next day, and have been feeling myself again the last week or so.
What is your chili dip? Sounds like something I would love!!

The end of the school year is so hectic! Even I feel like I"m running around like a crazy lady for my 2 boys~today is the only day of the next 5 school days that I have nothing to do at school~field trips, field day, cool to be kind celebration, award ceremony and I'm the PTA treasurer, LOL! Our last day is June 12th~kind of late for us, but its almost here. Then I'm looking forward to hanging out with my kids at the pool and the beach!!!!!
chili dip is the one you've probably seen before~a layer of cream cheese, top with meat chili and then sprinkle on some cheese~microwave until heated thru. I eat it with a few tortilla chips~YUM! Sometimes I make a pan of it if the family all wants it and other times I just keep the fixings ready in the fridge, throw it together and then heat and eat. I eat this as my dinner b/c I have such a hard time finding dinner foods that I like.
I'm not on the time out either..My dr. wants me eating. he doesnt want me to loose anymore weight. im trying to maintain. doing ok i guess. trying not to get low sugar attacks and still working with my therapist about my eating disorder and my self image.. but other than that im good.. im also glad everyone else is trying to do the next right thing by starting over and not giving up.good luck to all.

If you ever consider doing a time out from food, talk to your therapist first.
I was talking to mine about it and she thinks I need to just get off this board all together - the time out /support scenario is very much like a pro anorexia board ie. one where they see anorexia as a lifestyle, not an illness. She was pretty horrified when I was talking to her about it and how it all makes me feel when I read it.

Willow: It concerns me sometimes that I think folks are still "playing games" with themselves and with food. But it's hard and everybody has to find what will work for them. I hope that those who are losing on the Time Out plan will maintain the loss. We're all in this together, and even though there are some "different" ideas thrown out here, and some controversial ones, too, I still enjoy the support and sharing that we have here. Thanks for the response.
