Anita: It shouldn't hurt if you eat at the picnic, and get back on your plan!  We should be able to have a little "cheat" now and then, as long as we stay on track most days!   I plan to stay on a modified t.o. during the week, and if I feel the the need to splurge, it will be limited and on the weekend only!  DeeAnn

Hi!! Yes that was me!   I thought it was you too!   watermelon is a good snack, it wouldn't hurt to have some.  We have to find what works for each of us to get on track, and stay there.  The t.o. is just to get us motivated and started.  I know I will have to have the occasional treats to keep my self from a full blown binge on junk!!  If we eat better on most days, we can allow a little cheat now and then.  Mine was pretty much all day every day!!  DeeAnn

Hey Guys! I just got home from a horrendous day out up and down the infamous I-5 corridor between Tacoma and Seattle (some of the most jacked up traffic in all this country according to national statistics). The traffic sucked and my hat is off to all of you who commute everyday. I did see some very interesting sights along the way. People do crazy crap in thier cars going down the freeway at 80 mph! I saw this dude chugging one of those 1.5 gallons of bottle water. I almost wet my pants with laughter! I told DH he must be a post op WLS dude. It was a riot. What was not cool was the eating. Oh man! I started off fine at 6AM with a yummy protein shake and due to poor planning was totally famished and munching on a nasty cold sausage patty on a McGriddle my toddler had abandoned. Lordy...when will I learn to plan ahead? Sigh anyway, so we continued on our journey and by 1PM we were still a hundred miles from the nearest protein shake and I got all hot, sweaty,  OMGosh! I was crashing hard core! I just wanted to cry. I had not crashed that hard every since I had started my liquids. So...I went into subway and ordered a simple sandwich to share with my kiddos. It was awful...the sugar crash low bloodsugar episode AND the falling off the wagon that hard. Sigh...well, moving on! I just finally got back home and am so happy to be here. What a crazy day. I am getting right back on my program right away instead of just avoiding it for the rest of the day because I blew it.  The good news is that I DID manage to drink a ton of water on my adventure! I know for some of you staying home for the day spells trouble. For ME going out of the house screws me up since I feel so much more in control here.  Sounds like yall are all doing well! Molly

You should be so proud of yourself that you decided NOT to throw the baby out with the bathwater and salvage your day despite the obstacles!!!

I got my Nectars from Vitalady and she suggests a scoop and a half at a time to get more protein in one sitting because the body can absorb about 30 grams at a time.  Since nectar is so mixable, it doesn't change the taste.  So, Each of my nectar shakes is 35 grams of protein and times three that A LOT!  Rachael

I made it through day 2 too. I am letting myself have fruit and cheese, especially before working out which I did twice yesterday and once today. Other than that, it is Isopure 2 bottles a day which is 80 grams of protein - I usually drink 1/2 bottle at a time - and loads of water or water mixed with gaterade. So far so good!  Diona
