TIME OUT ROLL CALL
Since I am in early today I will start the Roll Call and update. So I made it through Day One yesterday. Only side effect was a WICKED
Headache all day and night.
One question I have is 3 shakes enough PROTEIN. I added up the protein of my 3 shakes and it equals 66 grams! Can we do 4 shakes to get the added protein? Molly or Patty out there would you know?
Day One Menu:
Morning: coffee with 1/2 & 1/2
Bottled Water 16 ounces
BK: Nectar Ice Tea Protein Shake 23 Protein
Bottled Water 16 ounces
LNCH: Pro Whey Cappuccino Protein Shake 20 Protein
Bottled Water 16 ounces
Dinner: Nectar Ice Tea Protein Shake 23 Protein
Snack : Cappuccino 60 calories.

Well it was day 2 for me yesterday and I survived. I had 5 protien drinks yesterday and a ton of CL. I have lost a pound a day. I am below goal and just need to get my eating under control so this really helps me to get the head on straight again. So as far as the protien I need it and it works for me.
Hi everyone! I usually tend to be a lurker, but I started this time out program one week ago last Wednesday. It's just what I needed. I lost 180 lbs when I had my surgery in 2004, got down to my goal weight, went to Costa Rica for a complete overhaul
, and then started going through a divorce and put on 35 lbs.
I can say that 66 grams of protein is not enough for me. I have lost 11 lbs in 6 days doing the 4 protein shakes. I HATE Nectar, but I LOVE their Nectar Cappucinno flavor. It has helped me in going through my fancy lattes withdrawal. Thanks so much for posting this plan. It's just what I needed to get me 'detoxed'. I see my doctor today for my lab work, we'll see what he says. Thanks for listening!

Good morning, all of us "Time Outers". One day under our belt (those of us who started yesterday).
Miss my peanut butter toast this morning, but that's only 10 minutes of pleasure. So, instead, I'm finishing my first Nectar of the day, will jump in the shower, & then go for my walk. Several people have raved about the Cappucinno flavor, so I think I'll go & purchase some today. The fuzzy peach is delicious, but I think I need a little break from that sweet taste. Do any of you "doctor" that Cappucinno flavor to enhance the taste or is it fine just as is? Can you drink it hot? Well, got to go & keep busy. One can accomplish a lot in a day when your time isn't spent "grazing".

I just wanted to comment on the question about adding a 4th shake. By all means, this is not a starvation diet and you do need to take care of your body. I would say YES, add a 4th protein drink or even more. Michelle, the Vitalady has 6 a day and eats her regular meals and she has maintained her weight loss for 13 years I think. If you are truly hungry or you need the extra protein then certainly add a shake. It won't hurt you or stall your weight loss. You're talking about another 100 calories at most and nothing bad for you. I have been doing a modified Time Out and have lost 7 lbs in 12 days. I drink 2-3 protein drinks per day and consume a small protein meal like a can of tuna with some lettuce and mayo or a small piece of grilled fish and a serving of grilled veggies. Just listen to your body. Good luck,

I actually made it through the first 24 hours without cheating!! I consumed 440 calories in protein shakes, for 92 grams protein. I drank 150 + oz water also. I had an addtional 100 -150 calories in sf popsicles, sf jello, and broth. My scale showed a 2lb loss already this am! I am doing well so far today, almost 64 oz water, some broth, and 220 cal and 46 g protein with my shakes. I am feeling hungrier today than yesterday. I may have some dense protein this evening if it continues. Good luck to everyone else, so far so good

today is my first day of this. i havent cheated!!! i am drinking my 2nd protein shake with skim milk .
so i figured if i drink 3 shakes with my skim milk i get 570 calories, 6 fats, 39 carbs, 93 proteins.
plus i am drinking my water so far i only have 40 ozs in but been running the roads and should of brough****er with me but i have all might to drink. i was 161 pounds this morning. how long do we do this time out for? anita

I think it's pretty much up to you, how long you continue the T.O. I read that the surgeon *****commended it to a patient said 2 weeks. You then start back on dense protein (meats ect) and vegies. it's bascically a period to try to detox ourselves from carbs and sugar ect. Supposedly it helps "reset" the pouch. If nothing else it will hopefully help us lose a few pounds, and get with the program!! some people are doing a modified plan. they have shakes for breakfast and lunch, and eat a protein and vegie at dinner time. I did all liquids yesterday, but may eat some meat and vegies tonight if my hunger keeps up. Good luck!! DeeAnn

I'm doing good so far... not really hungry. i was kindof when we went grocery shopping. but i am in control... now what is dense protein? i'm not sure yet if i will do this for 2 weeks or 1 week. i might cheat and eat some watermelon. i did buy it yesterday so maybe tommorow i will eat some since i dont want it to go bad. not a big peice left either. good luck to you also.. anita
