Nectar question
You can also go to the Syntrax site itself and email customer service and they will send you 4 samples (ones I received were, Cookies & Cream, Roadside Leomonade, Strawberry Kiwi and Apple Ecstasy)
I emailed them telling them I was a Post GB patient and sent my address. They emailed me back and said they'd be more than happy to send me samples for FREE..no shipping charges or anything.
I got them in a week.
HATED the nectars..vile ad putrid (sorry but i'm an old old timer and have tried them a few times over the years and still hate them..mostly the smell even with a sippy water bottle)
But I ADORED the cookies and cream. Then again i've always been a more creamy shake type person than fruity.
Hope this can help!

Thanks for the info! Now, after hearing how you hated them, I can't wait to see how they strike me! I never did try any of the fruity protein drinks when I was newly post-op. I used some of the unflavored Unjury in some of my early soft foods, and although I didn't think it was completely "tasteless," it was OK enough to use. Also used some of the choc. Unjury too. It just didn't take me that long to get enough of my protein from food, so I haven't messed much w/ drinks.
However, after reading about several who are doing the "Time Out," (which I am not planning on doing), I just thought maybe I would try to replace some of the Diet Coke I'm drinking w/ the Nectar, if I like it. I do drink a lot of Crystal Light but sometimes get sick of that too. I'm thinking MAYBE if I'm drinking at least one protein drink a day, that psychologically it would help me get back on track with other good eating habits. I do eat nutritional meals; however, I also eat crap between meals and need to get a grip. I've regained all I care to and am having a heck of a time getting the bad carbs under control.
Anyway, thanks for your input and your on the "cookies & cream"!
Always,
Jo
