Good luck at your support meeting, I still go to mine as often as I can...Maybe you can bring up how others are working out the mental aspects of WLS and get some ideas from other people in your group, that is part of what they are there for...

I know you will do better tomorrow, I have faith in you and your choices...You are the captain of your ship, steer well and safe...

Hi Everyone, I have been away from the boards for a long time, mostly lurking until I could get ahold of my password again... Oh the pain of the weekend!!!  I'm with you all on that 100%.  So, here I go, taking more control by being as accountable as possible for my lifestyle choices: B- 1/2 cup scrambled eggs 3 slices bacon 1/2 homeade belgian waffle Aunt Jemima Butter Lite (really good syrup BTW!) (Of course, I sat at the table too long trying to enjoy breakfast with my husband and kids--- ate another 1/2 of a waffle with syrup.) L- 1/2 Light and Fit yogurt S- 3 hard sourdough pretzels D- 1/2 cup overcooked angel hair 1/2 cup homeade meaty sauce 1/2 cup green salad with creamy ital dressing 2 slices of fresh, warm Italian bread w/ Brumble and Brown  S- Light and Fit yogurt, 2 French Twists 160 SF Blue Bunny Light ice cream bar I only drank about 65 oz all day.  No "intentional" exercise all weekend.

OK Lucky, Glad to see you posting some accountability on the board and come on in daily if you want to...I need to, which is why I'm posting here...I looked over your food, really seems like a decent range of choices for food, do you track cals, protein, fat and carbs on Fitday?  Are you trying to maintain or still working towards goal?  See if you can determine how many cals you need vs. any exercise you get to help set a plan for daily intake then track the numbers thru fitday or sparkpeople to make sure you are in the right range for your goals...Nobody said it was easy, in fact, many have said it is hard to work through your issues, the surgery only helps physically, the mental stuff is all on you and the hardest part to work out - BUT, you can do it!   Ask questions, people on OH are more than happy to give their support, myself included...See you in the next posting...Alesia

Oh, the days when I didn't have to count calories and worry about exercise....I miss them!!!  Well, I have been on the time out plan for almost a week, but yesterday was my birthday and my BF and friends wanted to take me out.  So....we went to the Outback and I had soup and some salad..I did REALLY good!!  It's amazing how much my pouch has actually shrunk!! I don't believe it!!  I am back on my time out plan for 1 more week to make sure I get control, then will begin adding in some grilled chicken and salad.  I HAVE to make this work...I've come to far!!!  B - Nectar protein   90 cal   23 g P L - Nectar protein   90 cal   23 g P D- Cup of French onion soup (minus cheese/bread) - 100 cal  0 P      1/4 c salad w 1/8 chicken breast  80 cal  10g P  S- Nectar protein  90 cal   23g P Total 450 cal  79 g P Plus - 114 oz water/crystal lite No exercise....damn it I need some motivation on this!!!!   Good luck today ya'll!  Kerry

Hi Kerry, 1st off, happy belated birthday...I want to tell you, I have so much admiration for all of you working the "time out" program, it seems like there have been many good results from making the choice to go all protein drinks and reset the pouch...Sounds like it is working pretty well for you too...A couple of people I read are working a modified version where they do consume 1 meal a day that is non liquid but high protein - I think the trick to making any program work is listening to how your body responds to what you do to it and modifying accordingly to fit your physical needs...Know you will be back on your full "time out" program now and working it to the best of your ability... Good Luck, I'm cheering for you  Alesia

Hi Connie, Thanks for the reminder, yes I know I'm only human ...And yes I am THE CAPTAIN and I'm running my vessel, its just likes to veer of course to the islands for a little weekend getaway come Saturday and Sunday, need to work on keeping it on the straight and narrow... I know you like your fruit, it is tasty, but you can do it, keep having it but 1/2 of your regular serving, so the taste will be there without the extra sugar and carbs...Is the scale moving in the right direction yet?  You do well with your food choices and always get in a decent amount of liquids and are very religious about exercise - I think you work your program pretty well, just need to tweek it a little bit to keep it moving in the right direction and stay on course...Don't forget to send out my reminder at the end of the week telling me who is in charge of my boat ...Big kiss  for all the support and love... I will remember to send you a weekend help-note!  I've got myself a reminder on my 'puter .  LOL Unfortunately, I think my weight is where it wants to be.  No matter what I do - eat less, exercise more, whatever - I play w/the same 2-5 pounds.  So I'm trying to learn to just be satisfied w/this - I'm certainly WAY better off than I was 4 years ago!! Thanks, too, for all your support!!!!!

Hugs,
Connie
