School's out Wednesday and on Thursday I'm starting my summer exercise/Time Out Program. Keep posting, ladies.  You are an inspiration.

I love that you are getting ready to do something positive for yourself. My suggestion would be to either "just jump in" or if you want to wait til thur then prepare yourself for success by starting to make some slight changes today, such as increase your water, limit the carbs, or something like that so you won't be tempted to have a "last hurrah" and can actually make the plan less drastic a transition for you. I don't say "good luck" because it is about choices and you are making good choices for yourself!

I love that melady. You have a great point.  I am also a school teacher and thought about waiting until the end of the school year to start Time Out (June 19), but I know I'd have several "last hurrahs" if I did that (just because it's the end of the year...lol). I decided to just go ahead and start tomorrow.  Just to get me started I tried some of my new protien this  morning and I really didn't like it.  Nectar Caribbean Cooler. I hear some folks say they thought it was good, but I guess because I'm not a coconut fan it didn't work.  Luckily the guy at Vitamin Shoppe told me I could bring it back and exchange if I didn't like it so I'll be doing that today! I'll probably try to eat light today and then really get started on the program tomorrow!! I look forward to comparing notes! Take care!  Jess in MD

Hi! I stole this from a few posts back (Thanks, Molly Mae) This program is 3 Nectar shakes a day and all the sugar free, non-carbonated drinks you can drink. At least 64 ounces. That is it. No solids. Do a search about 6-8 pages back in this forum and look for a post by Patty Butler. She explains what it is and her surgeon makes all of his patients go on this program anytime they show a 2 or 3 pound gain until they give up and start eating properly and keeping it off. People are modifying it to fit their own surgeon's recommendations:  some are eating a salad lunch and a protein/salad dinner. some are adding SF jello or popsicles, many are using their favorite brand of protein. Hope this helps!
