I agree with Laura...I am way off track but reading Molly's post gives me encouragement.  I too will start on Monday with some type of protein drink.  I do not have the Nectar right now but will be purchasing some samples today.  I also had surgery in 2002 and have gained 35 lbs.  I am a lurker of the boards from time to time but want to become more active.

Hey Laura, Molly, and FRIENDS!  I am also starting on Monday. I know it's not going to be easy, but I want to jumpstart my weight loss.  I've gained about 20 pounds since my lowest since surgery which was 12/20/2004.  I lost 130 pounds initially, but really could stand to lose 100 more.  I started at 396!  I'm grateful for the weight I lost, but it's time for me to really do more work for me! I'm not close to where I had hoped to be by now! I also am getting married this December. I already have the dress, but have not done alterations yet! It be cool to have to take it in a bit!!! :-) Ladies, please keep posting. You are an inspiration to me!!  Good Luck and Blessings to all!! Jess in Maryland

Mmmm...Caribbean Cooler! I love that one and have only sampled it. Honestly, your food intake sounds like something you should be really pleased with. That is how I plan to resume eating (plus maybe an egg with turkey bacon for bfast) after this time out phase. That is awesome.

Hi there!  I am only about 7-8 months out, but I like to read from all the forums.  Sorry for the question... but what is pouch resetting and how do you know if you need to do it? Leah

I don't suffer from insanity. I enjoy every minute of it!

Well, the real answer is that you should visit with your surgeon BUT for me, it was a very personal thing. My eating was out of control. I could eat a 6 inch Subway sandwich, two pieces of pizza, Starbucks butterhorns, (sheesh! I hate confessions) ect. I was totally hooked on carbs and was just very depressed and overwhelmed about the whole thing. Just like old times. This program is 3 Nectar shakes a day and all the sugar free, non-carbonated drinks you can drink. At least 64 ounces. That is it. No solids. Do a search about 6-8 pages back in this forum and look for a post by Patty Butler. She explains what it is and her surgeon makes all of his patients go on this program anytime they show a 2 or 3 pound gain until they give up and start eating properly and keeping it off. I haven't seen Patty around here and haven't gotten an email reply back from her either but I really appreciate her telling us all about this and she might be suprised at how many people are doing it here in her absence. I am very thankful for her inspiration. I started this time out plan to reset my pouch and my brain and to take off a bunch of weight. I know "going back to basics" and following the rules of the pouch like "Pouch Rules for Dummies" are all totally ideal but I really had to do some hard core soul searching before I started this. Almost like finally decideing to have surgery in the first place and then being newly postop! AND I haven't had weight drop off me like this since that time either.  Anyway, I think you will KNOW if you start to gain 2 or 3 pounds and need to go on the attack right away to get it under control. My lowest weight was about 145 or so (for like a day) and then I got back up to 165 last week before I hit rock bottom and started this liquids only deal. Now I am 159.5 and will stay on liquids til I can get some more of that off. Then I will enjoy my greens and salads again with maybe a devied egg for dessert.

Hi Molly. Congratulations on keeping up with the Time Out Plan. I am on Day 4 and doing very well! I know that I am losing because I can feel it in my clothes. I will be weighing myself tomorrow morning to see where I'm at. I had my annual blood tests done this morning. I had 3 Nectar Fuzzy Navel protein drinks for my meals yesterday and crystal light in between meals. One cup of coffee with FF hazelnut creamer in the morning. Exercised for 30 minutes, 25 on the gazelle rider and 5 on the elliptical. YAY!!! I do not feel lightheaded, dizzy or shaky. My  body and pouch is responding to the Time Out Plan well. I think it likes it! No gas either. I will post again tomorrow! YAY for us!!! Lucy
