Pouch Resetting Update (Time Out)
Lorri, since I have been MIA for a few months I had no idea what the new profiles are all about since yours is almost empty. I don't want to lose all mine.
Hmmm...oh well, I became active on OH only in 2003 so maybe it was another Beach Bum! But anyway, great to see you and it is nice to be active on these forums again.
PS, I jsut got back from the park with my 3 & 4 year olds. Everyone thinks they are twins now! Even the doctor did when we first met our new pediatrician! It is really fun now that they are getting bigger!
Hi I would like to know what is the pouch resetting. What do you have to drink, can you eat solid foods.I have an underactive thyroid after giving birth in 2003.I had gastric bypass in 2001 lost a total of 100 lbs.Since having my daughter i ganed about 30lbs since the pregancy.I am having a hard time losing. Thanks Dana
Wow, with the throid challenge and thinking about undertaking this program you should ask your surgeon what the right plan is for you. I have no idea how liquid protein and water would impact your health BUT...
The program is this:
3 servings of Nectar or Essence Protien Shakes a day
at least 64+ ounes of non-carbonated, sugar free drinks like Crystal Light
No solids
I have started to do this out of desperation and sheer panic after gaining a bunch of weight since the holidays and never being able to quit the binge/dump/guilt/repeat pattern for a while. I was just beating myself up everyday and then consoling myself with a freaking cookie
Please read through some of the posts here and come to your own conculsion as to what is right for you!
It is the ONLY thing that has gotten me under control though and I am so thankful to the person who originally shared this info!
hi,

It is almost 9pm so I would like to count this a successful day 3! I so appreciate these posts and am gaining such a sense of support here! I had my large Dunkin Donuts iced coffee, protein shake, tuna with celery sticks, cucumber slices, protein drin****d coffee, broth, and now I am going to have another shake before bed. I have to admit I am not weighing myself. I am not arrogant about it, but the scale is not my primary concern. I care about how I have to squeeze into clothes or the rolls of flab, but I am not looking to the scale. I REALLY want to regain control and stop the obsessing about food. I am feeling better about this overall, the mild headache is apparently not from cafeine withdrawal since I have had 2 today. I agree with you Molly, I wonder if it is carb/sugar withdrawal. Hmmmmmmmn.
