Vomiting
OK folks I have to ask this question....I am 3 years post-op and once in a while I eat something that not only makes me sick, I get that "hard" pain in my stomach & until it comes back up, the pain stays. Now I know people are going to say, "Be careful what you eat." Well---duh--I do that. Of course sometimes things slip through the crack. The question I have is people still experiencing this & what do people do to help subside the nausea & pain?
~Amy 242/135/goal At the first sign of something not sitting well, I chew a couple of papaya enzyme tablets (purchased at a vitamin type store). Never go anywhere without them in my purse. It is the active ingredient in meat tenderizer and it helps digest food. I wouldn't use them after every meal since we malabsorb and don't want stuff to have digestion sped up but to avoid feeling bad and pain - they can work wonders.

They just don't seem to work for me. Luckily, it is now very rare that I do get sick, but when I do, I am miserable. Only thing that works for me is to get it OUT. And it can still be something that was fine one day and doesn't sit the next. I don't know if I get distracted and eat to fast or what. I really try to pay attention to my chewing, but sometimes I can forget and then I do pay. Still not sure if that is it or pouch just get grouchy. Sara
