Hello Kerri, I think you've selected a very attainable goal, it is workable too...Probably need to incorporate a little more exercise of some kind to help move the numbers along...I've heard post surgery that the metabolism slows down quite a bit so you might have to stay at the lower end of your cal range to keep the pounds coming off, but I repeat I think it is very possibel and very workable...YOU CAN DO IT ...You had a decent food day, certainly no worse than mine, got to watch out for those goodies at Starbucks, I stick strictly to the coffee there, if I want a treat sometimes I'll bring in my own biscotti... Oh Sheila, That is the crappiest feeling in the world. I used to get it a lot when I ate the wrong things, went too long in between meals, and after really good sex...sorry if TMI!  Anyway, I would just have to eat something and rush to go lay down! It would be real cause for concern if it happened for no good reason but Vitalady Michelle said to always keep PB cracker packages around at all times. Good luck keeping it regulated. The stress and dread you feel with one of those episodes coming on is almost as bad as the attack in and of itself. GL, Molly

Sheila, It sucks when you have an attack like that and then you're off the whole rest of the day, I'm sorry to hear you are struggling with hypoglycemia - this is a topic we discussed at one of my support group meeting a couple of months ago...My surgeon was saying that at a recent conference it was brought up that more and more post ops are having these episodes - they think it is because the surgeons are being more proactive now about working with nuts and telling patients what not to eat ( white sugars and carbs being high on the "limit it"  list) and the patients are listing  and the regular exercise to the mix and many post WLS bodies are burning up everything before it can be stored thus causing a low in body sugars and the hypoglycemia attacks...He told us peanut butter and crackers or 1/2 a pbj is a good way to come off the attack so you did good with that choice...Glad your talking to your PCP , they should be able to give some more suggestions and help with this... On a positive note - good food day , like your cals, carbs, fat and protein counts - good luck at the weigh in too, I know its going to go well... Alesia

Unfortunately I don't do too good some days.. yesterday I don't think was the best for me. B- tall green tea latte from Starbucks L- 3 pieces of personal size bbq chicken pizza (probably equal to one reg slice)  D- Small bowl of homemade chicken soup (chicken chunk, carrot, potatoe, tomatoe, cabbage) ate about a handful of peanuts, raisins type of trail mix in between breakfast and lunck

Hi Julie, Welcome in...The food choices themselves don't look bad too me, even the tea from Starbucks - But, I don't think it was enough to eat as a whole, do you know your total cals, carbs, fat and protein for the day? The important thing is that you realize not every day is full of the best choices, now you got to analyze what you are doing and make adjustments...Are you in maintenance or still trying to lose? Keep posting, be here to offer support when needed... Alesia
