I'm singing again this morning hear my song (hum to the tune from Rawhide) - Rowin', rowin', rowin', get that boat a rowin';  rowin', rowin', rowin' along;  row it left, row it right, but don't give up the fight; I'm the Captain!!! No I'm not on any meds just a natural high, in a really good mood this morning, hope everyone has an outstanding day...I'm off to pre-op today and will also do my pre-labs to prep for meeting with my RNY surgeon for my 2 year surgiversary coming up next week... The shape of my food pie was pretty equal on all sides yesterday, kept the fat numbers down in the 30% range, but carbs were eye popping - this is probably because we had a potluck at my office yesterday, I ate quite a bit of the black bean & pepper salsa that I made ( its sooo YUMMY) and total cals were pretty high too, but I spent 4 hours working a bike party at our local Sheraton last night so lots of walking and dancing to work of the days splurges... B - 10 oz choc/caramel/coffee protein frappachino S - 8 tbsp blackbean & pepper salsa with 8 corn chips L - 1 sweet potato corn bread muffin       1 bbq beef rib       2 fried chicken wingettes       1/4 cup collards       1/2 cup asian broccoli slaw S - 2 pieces sf caramel medallion D - chocolate and coconut Protein on the Go        1 hot wing wingette PLUS - 125oz water/crystal light TOTALS =     Cals - 1600     Fat - 61     Carbs - 162      Protein - 97 See ya'll later - Alesia

Good morning Alesia!!!   You are always so happy and I'm glad I signed in before I went to work because your postiive attitude has started my morning off right!  Thank you for that!! Yesterday was my 2nd day of the Time Out plan for me.  It was a little bit easier but sooo difficult when my boyfriend brought home his McDonalds food bag...let's say he was a little upset when I walked out of the room...I didn't want to be tempted by the looks and smell of that food that I use to eat so much and caused me to balloon up again!!  I DO have WILLPOWER..I DO!!!  Yeah! Anyway, have a WONDERFUL day!! B- Coffee w sf creamer -  30 cal  0 P      Nectar protein shake - 90 cal  23 P L- Nectar protein shake - 90 cal  23 P D- Nectar protein shake - 90 cal  23 P Total - 300 cal - 66 g P Plus - drank 112 oz water/crystal light 30 minutes of cardio

Oh man! I hear you on the McD's I would have walked out too. Just the smell alone sends me into orbit! Wow, looks like you are doing great with your plan!

Lookin' good Anita, You are doing a fantastic job staying on track...As for the scale I weigh every day in the early morning right after my morning pee ( for maximum affect) its part of how I keep myself honest, so I really don't see a problem with weighing too often + you get the extra endorphin high from seeing lower numbers (YEAH )... Keep it up, your ship is right on course...Alesia

Alesia, yes i am trying hard... we have our 2 year old for about a week and those fruit roll ups and fruit snacks will be hard since we got 3 boxs in the house... i love them darn things... hey your like me after i do my morning pee i weigh myself naked.... yeah i like those lower numbers... thanks for all your help. i did buy the sf caramel but still didnt buy the carb count down cho. milk so cant make your famous frappachino... i cant wait........ i am running out of protein powder... i am glad payday is tommorow.. we are going to be taking my mom to the graves and put flowers on them and then go out to eat lunch. i want a fish fry. any idea about that? i know i can take off the breading. i wouldnt know how much fish is a serving. it is haddock.. thats my plan a fish fry.... broiled fish is more money not sure how much. anita

Anita, Are you frying it yourself or buying already fried?  If you are doing yourself consider skipping the breading and wrapping it up in a tin foil and make it on the grill, you can make any fish good this way so go for the whats on sale fresh or frozen works too...I like to drizzle mine with a little olive oil and thin slice onions and lemons to lay on top then seasonings ( always at least salt, pepper and garlic, but you can use anything you like)...If you are not the cook, you are right best bet will be to remove the breading and just eat the fish... Alesia, We are taking my mom to a restuant. what sides should i get since it comes with some. you have a choice of sides.. not sure what. i think mac and cheese, clow slaw. maybe cottage cheese. not sure..          anita

Talk to the restaurant staff about getting kids or senior portion and a reduced cost and explain about the WLS, they usually works with me and then maybe you can afford to order something non-breaded for you (if you want to)...As for the sides, see if they'll sub salad for slaw, definately cottage cheese or any type of veggies they offer, I know the seafood places around here are pretty limited on side choices avoid the fries and mac-n-cheese if at all possible way too many carbs and fat when prepared in a restaurant...Good luck, I know you will work it out the best way you can...
