Back in the saddle again or maybe I fell off...

Ya go girl!  Don't over do it or set your sites to high.  The major reason people stop exercising is that they get discouraged because they can't meet their goals.  Remember, baby steps.  Do a little at a time and add a little each time you exercise.  It could be you add a minute or two or bump up the resistance level. Have you been to sparkpeople.com?  They have video demos of strength exercises you can do at home.  Strength training will build your muscle mass and increase your metabolic rate.   I'm a gym junkie myself.  I go 6 days a week and I've been the number one female weight lifter at the Y for almost a year now.  This month, I'm running number 2 including the guys.  I'm not bulky either.  I'm REALLY toned.  And, I eat close to 3000 calories each day to maintain.

I'm just getting back to regular exercise after plastic surgery. I'm using the gazelle rider for 30 minutes a day six days a week. I have an elliptical as well. I have to start slow again. It sure is a great workout! Lucy
