Good morning! I just wanted to check in and see how ya'll are doing with this today. For some reason, I felt hungrier on this day, a little miserable and was snappy at my kids. I am PMSing a little right now and that might be the reason whyfor increased hunger and crabbiness (sorry if TMI)! I will give a brief rundown of my menu for the day but won't bore you with the details: 4 Nectar Protein Shakes chicken broth some sugar free jello mix as a hot drink I did buy some Crystal Light and it made me suck down a ton more fluids than just pure water I did not excercise yesterday but hopefully will today. I just got a double jogging stroller and it is a really good workout to push that thing! I haven't weighed yet today but will update you on that later if it is anything exciting! Molly

Good morning!   I got up to 100 oz of water and 120 grams of protein yesterday!  WOW I consumed four whey protein shakes during the course of the day.  I will say I am including a small amount of lean protein at this point.  Each of us need to listen to our bodies and its wellness.  I am diabetic and found I needed a bit more than just liquids.  My diabetic control is MUCO improved since my weight loss but I am one of the few still on insulin.  I did find my sugar bottoming out yesterday with no carbs.  I just ate some turkey and it leveled again. I started the day with my reading on the low side (84) so I am keeping a close eye and touch on how I feel.  The elimination of carbs (for me, it is crackers....) is the key to removing the increased feeling of hunger. Keep your eyes on the goal folks!  Better health and better bodies! Vicky

Hi Vicky! I know what you mean about your diabetes. I have not offically been diagnosed with hypoglycemia but definately had icky episodes everyday (maybe it was just dumping). I would eat the wrong thing (something sugary) and would have to head for the couch immediatly with my two toddlers as my nurses. It was really sad. They would "make a bed" for mommy and I would be in a sugar stupor for awhile while they ran around the house trying to make me "all better". I tell you I really felt like mother of the year...NOT! For some reason I would always get hot, sweaty, nervous, shaky, ect everyday too and it really sucked. I could barely function like that and for some reason, on this liquid diet that is not occuring at all so far, thank goodness!

YOU know this form of hypoglycemia hits about 99% of us, yes?

Some is obviously traceable back to sugar or carbs, but some cannot be tracked back.

There finally some new theories out there besides "blame the victim". But if you ask your doc, you wil probably be told that it's a reaction to carbs and just stop it right now! But if you KNOW you have not had any, then exactly what IS happening?

Tons of info on yahoo grad, but just a few little sniffs at what it might actually be.

Our universal treatment is either PB on white bread or about 3 of the PB cracker thingies you can buy in a 6 pack. Msot of carry them in purse, car, desk......... everywhere.

P.S.  My year + long absence has NOTHING to do with my WLS, or my type of WLS. See my profile.

Hi Aleisa!  After June 8th I will be chiming into your accountability post for food consumption. It is so important to keep track. I hadn't done that for a long time and it got me to a really bad place so I am happy to be tracking everything again! Happy Wednesday!

Hi Molly! For me, I had 2 AchievOne protein drinks and 1 Fuzzy Navel Protein Nectar drink with crystal light in between. One cup of coffee with skim milk and FF hazelnut creamer. Thanks for this post! Lucy

Today I fiinally made it over my no weight loss in a month hump.  I finally do not weigh 170 anymore, this morning it said 168.  Two pounds in two days, pretty good.  Hopefully that will keep me going as yesterday was a real struggle.  It made me crabby as all get out and had a headache like nobodies business.  I hope each day gets a bit easier.......I hope.
