I think I'm going carb cold turkey for a while if not forever lol.

I am just finishing a few weeks of exclusively protein. Closest I've come to a carb is salad, and only 2 of those.

The cravings are very manageable now. Thank goodness. I can wear all the shorts that were unzippable last summer, but someare still snug. Still, I am almost back to where I was most of the last 12 yrs.

If I can stay away from "just one" piece of fudge while we're on the road, I should be normal when I get home.

It isn't easy those first 3 days, for sure, but after that, the success of the day before kinda keeps you going

P.S.  My year + long absence has NOTHING to do with my WLS, or my type of WLS. See my profile.

I  fully agree as I have seen this repeatedly in me, I am pre-op, but know that emotionally I do much better with low carb/good carb diets. i also think it does something to my joint health also----patho-physiologically I don't know what it is, but this is a repeated pattern I have noticed.  Jackie.

Yes, I have found the same thing to be true with me.  I feel soooo much better when I have only limited GOOD carbs. When I have the other carbs I get depressed and want to eat more.  So I will detox myself from the bad carbs and feel so much better. So you are not alone. Koukla 338/177
