Pouch Resetting (Time Out) Roll Call!
This "time out "sounds like a great idea.... I am 3 1/2 years out and have put on about 15 lbs I'd love to get rid of. Those carb demons are really getting to me...I have some whey protein in my house but it has an expiration date on it. Do you think it matters or should I get some fresh stuff. Everyone's input would be appreciated. Good luck to all that are trying this...........
Hi Molly!
I have been trying the time out, unsucessfully. I don't know why it is so hard to stay away from the food. I start out the day well but really have a hard time in the afternoon and evening. I had yesterday, B: protien drink
S: Banana
L: Protien drink
D: Pork chop, brown rice, watermelon and oatmeal raisin cookie.
Then I did some grazing that just amazes me because I don't realize that I am doing it at the time. I had more watermelon and another cookie. It was after it was in the tummy and I was dumping a little that I realized what I had eaten. Everyday I start over and will until I suceed. I need this control. I have never been in control of what I eat except for the first couple of months after surgery. Count me in on this roll call. I need you guys! We need each other!
Hugs,
Trudi
Hi everyone!
I don't come here very often anymore, but I happened to see this post and thought I'd reply. I'll be six years out this August and I never got to my original goal weight of 140 because I cheated from the beginning. I got to 147 right after my TT back in 03 but my average weight has been between 165-170. I have gotten as high as 182 but I always work at getting back to my average weight. I remember my doctor telling me that people gain back between 10 to 25% of their weight loss and I guess I had forgotten that part! LOL! I do have to work at this and when I get over 180 I immediately get back to protein and water but I hate to exercise! Ugh! This round of weight loss has been achieved by eating one item every hour or two and never sitting down to eat a real meal. The closest I get to that is eggs with bacon or a meat of some kind for breakfast. Sometimes I'll eat a salad for dinner also. Otherwise, I eat a granola bar or even a candy bar or crackers with cream cheese (not many) or a fruit throughout the day. The key to my losing weight is not allowing myself to get full. Everytime I get the least 'full' I don't lose weight. When I decide to eat at a restaurant and cheat, I will only do it at noon so I have the rest of the day to burn off the calories. I could never be as brave as some of you and only do the liquid thing! I have to eat food so I had to come up with something that would work for me. As of today I weigh 163 and I am working to get to 150 if I can. I know that I have to do this the rest of my life, or I will gain all my weight back as some have done. But, I LOVE the way I look in clothes now (especially lingerie) and it's worth it! *wink* Nothing tastes as good as being thin feels so they say! And Molly, if you read this, I'm also from the Texas panhandle! Good luck to all of us! 325/163/150
