Its a new day and a new start again for me...Good Morning and Happy Memorial Day!...Starting fresh yet again on a new day, Sunday was still a little out of control for me, struggling to reel myself in, have planned ALL of today's (monday) food choices as of now so hopefully I can stay on track all day, only excuse I can think of is Aunt Flo is coming to visit this week and when she comes my cravings for sugar and carbs really escalate along with my *****a-tude (what can I say, I live with a house full of men and they can feel the difference )... Anyway, did my walk/run around the neighborhood to burn off  some of the extra carbs ingested yesterday, scale still looking good, so its not all bad... Hi Anita, Hope your enjoy your day today at the parade, the walking will be good for you too...Looks like you handled the exposure to carbs pretty well...When my family gets going on a carb fest I just start cooking and baking like crazy - all stuff they like and want, something about fixing it and smelling it cook usually satisfies my cravings and I'm make one no sugar/low carb item for me to have when they are eating theirs...Its weird but it works for me... Take each day at a time, you're doing just fine... Alesia

Hi Alesia, The parade was good. i had to walk a block from our place to the parade. then i came home and cut grass and hung up some clothes. so i did some exercise but still didnt do my treadmill but i got some exercise in i guess. carbs are always here in this house . and for me its very hard. i love pasta and pizza.. i have to find some low carb things to eat. i love to cook and bake too..  now like today i just took out some hamburgers and hotdogs to cook out. i kind of would like a hamburger roll. i did check the package and it says 20 carbs. so i might have one. i think now and then for a picnic we can. i wanted some baked beans but none in the house. not sure what else to fix today.i will have to see if anyone is posting foods for bbq's.. Anita

Hey Alesia... I'm righ there with you.  Sunday was better than Saturday, but not by a long shot.  I start the day off pretty good and the something triggers me to go off track.  Doesn't take much.  Any excuse with do!  I don't have the drive, the fire to stay compliant that I used to.  Here's a shock, in spite of myself, the scaled move down 1 lb.  Hooray.  I need to stop tempting fate or that 1 lb. will find me again.  So hopefully I'll do better today. Here's what I ate yesterday (oh did I mention I don't dump!): Breakfast:   Tilapia/Applesauce Snack: AchievOne Lunch: Deli Turkey/Beef/Lettuce/Light Dressing Snack: AchievOne Dinner: Cheeseburger and a few fries (went to restaurant "Fitz") Dessert:  Yeah... I said dessert!!  Haagaen Daz Bar Late night snack:  2 Pancakes with sugar free syrup!! Calories: 1826 Fat: 69 Carbs: 162 Protein: 140 Exercise: NONE God help me, I've got to get this under control.  I suppose it could be worse! Have a great holiday! Denise

Hi Denise, You know I'm feeling your stuggle too...So far the scale is still ranging up and down in my acceptable 5 lb window, actually more days down than up, but I still wonder and worry when the "grace of god" is going to go out the window, surely it cannot last like this forever (as many longer timers have posted,)...2 years seems to be the point were YOU really have to be the one in control and I feel mine slipping more than I am comfortable with...So, I keep posting to you all to take account, keep reporting it all the good, the bad and the ugly and know that I will succeed by taking control, reporting in and reading the posts of others for help...  Alesia PS. it really must suck not to dump, I know that it is still a saving grace for me...Don't do it all the time and small amounts of real sugar can slip by, but not alot...

Happy Anniversary, 29 years is quite an accomplishment - We'll be 21 this year... I agree that your food choices look pretty good, is it possible the meds you are taking could be affecting your weight (what are the side effects?) Post your game plan so we can see it, will probably help you by putting it out there for others to see and it will help us (me?) to offer suggestions and support if you want it... I will suggest if you have not completed the formulation you consider sub-ing a protein drink for 1 major meal a day, this might help, also I know we have talked about the fruit you eat, fruit is high in carbs and natural sugars, so you might look at cutting back the fruits to a couple times a week instead of a couple a day... Good Luck, you know I'm with you and will continue to post support as needed...  Alesia

In answer to you question yesterday....

I am 5'5 and I work out about 12 hours a week at the gym. I have heard I need to eat more but than I gain weight.. I freak out.. than I stop eating again. I know if i stay the course for a few weeks it will level out, but I just dont seem to be able to get more than that amount in.. I have been trying to eat more and I get sick from over eating.. I have to find a happy medium to the problem.. as I end up any excess food I may have gained. I guess I am a work in progress on this one.
