ashamed to admit it
I am a food addict and emotinal eater so I understand. If I'm emotional I will definitely get in the car and go buy whatever if its not in the house. I am currently in therapy and it is helping me to get to the root causes somewhat. I haven't totally broken free from my addicition~not sure if that will ever happen, but hopefully maybe some day. My therapist told me these are the times I need to slow WAY down~she didn't say don't eat whatever it is, but just slow down, taste the food, enjoy it and then move on. It is helping with not letting one emotional incident ruin the entire day for me~meaning I don't continue to binge all day b/c I lost it for a minute and blew my eating plan for the day.
