I joined Weigh****chers online and find it's really easy to track what I'm eating. Only thing is, I know that you have to eat your ration for the day every day and sometimes I can't do it becuase of the portions I can tolerate. Pretty good problem, I know, but wonder if there are any others out there trying WW? -=db=- Alcohol-free since Sunday

I just started WW Online Monday.  I've been stuck in the 150's for many months now and would really like to make it to my personal goal of 130-135.  I'm finding that planning a whole day's meals in advance is really helping me.  Also, I'm counting calories, carbs and protein along with points - that's helping, too.  So far, I've only been able to get all my points in one day.  It really depends on WHAT you eat. I'm trying to stick to fruits for snacks instead of stuff really high in carbs.  So far, so good.  I'm feeling more in control of my eating.  Good luck to you.  I was wondering if any others were trying WW. I wonder what going to a meeting would be like? I wouldn't want to reveal my surgery. -=db=-

For me, it saves time just to do it at home.  Plus, I'm a huge scale freak and if I were to not lose or even gain one week at a meeting, I'd be really upset.  But, that's just me.  It may be good for you or others.  And, I definitely wouldn't reveal my surgery there. Becky

Oooh, the dreaded scale. I would feel the same if I didn't lose. Can you imagine what the others would have thought (at a meeting) during the first few months after surgery and we'd be losing 10-15 pounds a week??? -=db=-

Now THAT would have been the time to go!  LOL Becky

BTW, I was told WW folks are notorious for being anti-WLS and I did see hints of that at meetings, so I kept my surgery private.

I did WW awhile back and really liked it.  The only thing I had to do was adjust my points down because at the time my nutritionist only wanted me eating 1200 calories a day which averaged out to 20 points a day plus the 35 flex points for the week  (that's an average of 1250 calories a day).  I think it's a good tool to keep you in check.  Be wary of their message board though...I've seen quite a lot of slams on there  for people who have had weight loss surgery.    I never quite understood why they would get so mad...I mean everyone is there to lose weight..They should be supportive regardless...Anyways, good luck! They get mad because they're working so hard and think we've all taken the "easy way out". Anyways, I'm doing a Weigh****chers plan at home because it very simple, and I'l like to lose the 10 pounds I gained between lapband erosion and conversion to VSG (I'm down 16 of the total 26 gained).

I've joined the weigh****chers band wagon as well. The reason: i maintain at 145, but I want that to be my all time high, I don't like how I flutuate up to 148. My plan is to follow the points. The leader told me each pt averaged out to somewhere between 50 and 100 calories, that's a wide range in my opinion. That means i could be taking in 2000 calories a day..... I hope not or i would gain weight. I was wondering about the core program... has anyone post RNY tried that? I really need to get in touch with what i am eating. The amount is pretty limited d/t the physiology of my intestines now, but it is teh types of foods that i have to watch now. Good luck to us al. Maybe we can keep communicating on how we are doing. Thanks, Melinda
