how many calories do i need to maintain?

 Im post op 2 1/2 years. Im 5'5" and weigh 150.. I need to maintain and Im not sure how many calories I need to get without making myself gain weight..does anyonw know?

There really is no set number to maintain. If you are eating 75% protein and 25% carbs and are satisfied with where you are try shifting it to something like 60% protein and 40% carbs and see how you do. If you gain, shift back a little. You have to find what is right for you as everyone is different. I know it doesn't take much for me to gain - I had surgery, had a toenail infection and then tristed my ankle and all the inactivity has me gaining about 5 lb no problem. I really have to keep up moving my body to keep the weight off I know for sure so hope my ankle heals up fast! Diona

If you want to track your caloric intake you can use Fitday.com, it has been a great site for me just to monitor rough weeks when I might pop up a few lbs.

someone posted this link the other day and it's very helpful~ http://www.thinnerself.com/files/calculator.htm Its nice b/c I used to use these calculations but had to figure them out on paper~this does all the work for you!
