Tomasina, One more suggestion (I agree with everything Vitalady told you.)  Call around to other WLS programs in the area if yours won't help you and get the name of a PCP who knows something about WLS patients.   Good luck and take those supplements.  My surgeon requires 75-100 grams of protein, B-12, iron and potassium in addition to multiple vits and calcium citrate.  FOR ALWAYS!  I'm always chewing away on a fruity or cinnamon or chocolate tablet of some sort.  Makes for a colorful and tasty pill case.

Did they do a thyroid profile? Or a metabolic panel, or iron studies, Vitamin B levels, & Vitamin D? We need special testing done 1-2  times a year. Good luck and hope you get better. Monica

I agree, you need to know what your iron, B-12, Vitamin D, are too.  I'm also experiencing severe tiredness and some depression (which might also be the reason for exhaustion).  My PCP put me on Lexapro last Friday to fight the dpression (it did wonders for me 4 years ago) and ran my labs too.  In January my labs were great with the exception of Vitamin D (which I've added) but I had plastic surgery in March and since it's almost 6 months he said let's see where we are at. I love my PCP, he gets it.  Please find a doc understands malabsorption and is willing to continue to learn about your needs. Good luck!
